From here to the end of the season, Dame and CJ need to shoot less. I don't agree that their teammates are incapable scorers - Crabbe and Harkless are both capable, but aside from a few curls/flares for Crabbe, they just aren't utilized enough or to their strengths (Harkless). And now with Nurkic, we have three capable offensive players outside of Dame/CJ. Then add to that the need to develop Vonleh and Layman - and maybe even Pat (?) - and we have 5 guys who need to get more shots than they've gotten to this point. I'd like to trim Dame's/CJ's FGA down to around 15pg (or less) through the end of the season. They can shoot more, if necessary, when the wins matter again.

^^^^ @blue9 ....couldn't agree more. It hasn't been working with them shooting so much. Last night was just under 50% of the shots and would have been over if they hadn't been pulled because the game was out of hand. Give the other guys a chance to develop. Run actual plays or try to get looks for some of these guys who only get shots on bail out passes and have no idea if they are going to get the ball or not.

Get Hark, Crabbe, Vonleh, Nurk, Layman 10-15 shots. That probably can't happen all in one night but make an effort to see what they can do since the other way was a complete failure. You can always go back to them dominating the shot chart next season.

Lou Williams from the Lakers is on the block. He nice piece to have with CJ and Dame. The only trade I can see is Aminu or Davis given back to LA. I would say Myers but no way they would take him. They might take Harkless.

Looked to me like they were feeding The Beast just fine. Especially Dame.

He got 5 shots and 2 trips to the line. Given his extremely high efficiency rate, that doesn't seem like 'feeding' in 21 minutes....especially given Dame's 3-19 off night. When someone is going that well, really get them the ball till they cool down.

it seemed to me like they did try and feed him more than it shows up in the stats. some of them were like they forced it into him before he was really set and it got broken up and/or stolen. but that's something that you can work out as you get more used to playing with a guy, they will get the visual cues that he is ready for the ball so he can bang. nurk also passed up at least one mid range jumper he was open for to give the ball back to cj, but it was during the time where cj had finally woke up so you cant blame him, it did look like cj told him after the play that he should have just took the shot though so that's just more feeling one another out. it should get better as we go along.

I think you'll see more and more involvement from Nurkic on the offensive end, cause he can do this wild thing called 'catching the ball in the lane and finishing around the basket'. It's a crazy new wave strategy to get big men back involved in the NBA.

The reason they want to get rid of Lou is they want to tank to keep their pick. So whoever they get needs to suck or not play.

I know the draft is supposed to be good this year, but I kinda hope the Lakers get the third pick, fuck up the draft (because Jim Buss) and then get the #1 pick next year and have to give to to PHI.

Exactly. They used him in the flow of the offense. He was not frozen out. If anything it appeared they made a concerted effort to get him the ball. And I disagree that he should have been the entire focus of the offense. He made all his shots because he didn't force things and didn't take bad ones. They passed him the ball just fine, and he made OK decisions when he got it, for the most part. He passed or tried to pass within the offense, which I liked. That's how he ended up with 4 turnovers, because someone got him the ball. He had the ball in his hands plenty, especially for his first game.

I agree. He took and made shots with in his comfort zone. And made them. I was a little surprised he got a couple of the calls when the other team reached in and he lost the ball. They were fouls, but none-the-less I was surprised they actually called it.
