I don't think he's stupid for doing it. He did sit out about 10 games with it. But the fact of the matter is, it's plantar fasciitis. This isn't an injury that just goes away in 3 weeks. It's a nagging injury that takes a long time for it to actually heal. Some days it's ok, some days it's bad. But what I like about Perk is that he's still going out there and playing hard. That's all you can ask.

I agree. He's taken a lot of flack from fans who expected more out of him this season. Perk's hustled and given 110% as best he can. What I find interesting is that he sat out all five games of the Celtics winning streak in December.Wonder if Doc and Danny will remember that ...

That means nothing. What are you trying to say, that we play better when Perk doesn't play? That's not true at all. A healthy Perk is great for this team, and before that plantar fasciitis started really bugging him, he was having a pretty good season.

I'm not saying we don't need Perk. Why wouldn't you need a 6'10" big man??I was just pointing out that Perk didn't play during the streak, which leads some (not myself) to question: how MUCH to we need Perk?

You are the one that even brought that up. If you didn't think that way, you wouldn't have said it.

Plantar is a terrible thing to have, Mo Williams had it last year...I don't see the problem with him playing hurt, if the trainers/Celtics staff don't have a problem, I don't see why anyone else should. Just proves that Perkins is a tough guy if anything, a lot of guys would be sitting out.

well, it's not smart either way, but from what I've heard plantar fasciitis doesn't just go away. He might as well just play through it.
