This guy is a genius businessman. I'm not sure how profitable he is with his schtick. But, what a great idea to come to the US from Britain and realize there is a need for a gay, loud mouth, over the top idea so-called "conservative". Honestly, if he wasn't gay, he wouldn't even be talked about. Kinda like if Tommy Lauren wasn't hot, she wouldn't be paid attention to. People love modern politics and everybody is looking to cash in on it. I don't think Lars Larson, Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh even believe in half the shit they say, they just know that they will rile up the base. Heck, deep down I don't even think Glenn Beck is a conservative. He just knew if he played the part he would cash in on it. It seems every 5-10 years he changes is political idealogy. He knows he can cash in on the 'angry cause our parties not in office crowd'.
Glen Beck is a phony. Way back before any of you guys could walk, there was a guy on the Radio weekly, Garner Ted Armstrong. One hour, maybe two, the guy would rail on about some atrocious thing of the day. He was rather good too, keep you right there the whole damn way. But he would never get to the climax, it always ended going to commercial flat, with nothing. Glen Beck is a repeat. .
I think Milo is awesome. We need public mouth-pieces to give some balance to the insanity has been churning, largely unchecked on the left. (shit like Feminism, BLM, Islam love etc...) If he weren't gay and falmboyant, he'd probably be at the level of a Ben Shapiro. But I think he really gets under the left's skin because he's a member of one of their pet "identities". It's like when black people come out against movements like BLM, all they can do is denounce them as "uncle tom's". The left doesn't even want to engage in actual debate on many topics, they just want to personally discredit people by accusing them of bigotry or sexism or what have you.
First of all, apologies on behalf of British people. Sometimes we don't send our best. Second, why are people giving this guy oxygen? He's got nothing. He's the walking equivalent of obscenities scrawled on toilet walls. Third, the guy is so uncomfortable in his own skin it makes ME uncomfortable. He can't make eye contact (which is why he usually wears those shades). Fourth, funny, isn't it, that he's going round liberal colleges and trolling reactions. Let's see his reception at, say Liberty University or some fundamentalist place that thinks homosexuality is a sin. I'd like to test their commitment to the first amendment.
Spot on. It's a shtick for so many of them. When Limbaugh first went national, I heard him one day sounding like a total liberal. For a whole hour. Making the arguments, totally believable. Passionate. And then at the end he said it was just a spoof, that he just wanted to show how good he is at this debating stuff. That's when I realized the whole thing is a money game.
Hmm, have not thought of Garner Ted Armstrong once since the last time I heard him... was never a fan but sometimes he was the only station the car radio would pick up, so I listened to him a fair bit. barfo
Ha! You might be right, perhaps that was the reason he was riveting. AT one time, I had a territory of customers with an accounting machine current in that time. The territory was all of Oregon, North to Olympia, East to Helena and Cody Wy, and South to Redding, CA. There was a hell of a lot of Garner Ted to listen to, until I could pick up Ira Blue on KGO.
Milo is every bit as disingenuous as the other names mentioned. He can't even get through one of his spiels without smirking. If you've heard one of his presentations you've heard them all.
I love how people are obsessed with everything he says. I don't for a minute want to put a percentage on how much of what he says he believes. That is irrelevant. The point is he'll continue to say it until left wing fascists get the message that you can't silence people. The emotion that a tv comedian shows while raising his voice and saying "fuck you" is amazing. Why doesn't Milo say fuck you back or act offended? Because he knew it was coming.
Milo is a troll, an entertaining one but still a troll. He has used the ridiculous democratic platform of "we should protect everyones feelings" that was fairly big for the last handful of years, to really make a name for himself and he has done it by mostly attacking BLM/Muslims and Gender issues above all else and does it in such a way to purposely get a rise from the crowd watching him. You could call him Ron Perlman from The Last Supper and you wouldn't be to far off.
Milo is a total troll, he would bad mouth gamers left and right before some stupid controversy in the gaming world started and he suddenly took their side on the issue writing positive articles and the like. He's been riding that wave ever since. He's funny, but I don't believe he actually believes most of what he says.
I have mixed feelings about the guy. Just listened to his Seattle presentation. Mixed into the flamboyant comedy, sarcasm and potty talk, is a lot of hard hitting truths. To think that he is a voice of reason does tickle me a bit, but you have to take into consideration that because of what and who he is, he is allowed to present opinion and facts that the average conservative or independent would not. Give a listen if you have a few minuets to spend http://www.podcastone.com/the-milo-yiannopoulos-show
another in the long line of "these people are to blame for your troubles, white america" blowhards who milk every last dollar out of their useful idiots. i thought he was at least articulate or something? meh.
