To me, there is no reason why Rajon shouldn't be starting from now on. He has outplayed Delonte at the point guard position BY FAR. Delonte is not a real point guard, he is a combo guard that is more effective off the ball with a freed up shooting hand. Rondo is the point guard of the future, and he is undoubtedly a better point guard than Delonte. With Tony Allen out of the lineup, Rondo is also our best defender. He plays very good defense, he plays very smart and rarely turns the ball over, he penetrates, he makes the right passes at the right time, he pushes the tempo more than Delonte and Bassy combined, and he has a excellent court vision with a nice drive-and-kick game. Delonte is a very solid player, and a solid rotational player for any team, but it would be best for Rondo and for this franchise to start Rondo now. Not only is he the point guard of the future, he's our best point right now. Rajon Rondo needs to start. Also, think about this: Wouldn't it be great to have a shooting lineup of Delonte, Wally, and Gerald to keep things going in the 2nd quarter to mix with Perk down low? I think that would be awesome.
I completely agree with you. We would have a spectacular second unit wiht Delonte, Gerald, Wally as the scorers and Perk down low, like you said. I'd love to see that done. Doc needs to get his head out of his ass and realize this.
Yeah, I also forgot to mention that with this move, I wouldn't mind giving Bassy a few minutes. Maybe even like 6-8 mpg. Give him a chance to do SOMETHING.
I agree. For once Tim Legler says something right. Delonte West is not a starting point guard he is a GREAT third guard on anyteam. Rondo produces when he starts, so why not start him? He is the best defensive and offensive point guard on the team, he needs to be getting some big minutes.

Or did he just say something about Delonte?

Haha. :dribble:</div> :HAHAHA: I agree that Delonte is best suited as the 3rd guard (first guard off the bench), as well as I believe Wally is best suited as a 3rd or 4th option. I think Delonte would make a very nice 6th or 7th man for us next year. He hustles, he can knock down shots, he wouldn't be under pressure to make all the big decisions, and he wouldn't necessarily have to worry about actually running an offense that much (the 2nd unit is mostly "get it and go"). Bottom line: Rondo is the future and our best point guard now. There is no reason he shouldn't be starting at this point.

Umm... no? I love The Powe Show, but no way he should start. I wouldn't mind Gerald in there at the 2 with Pierce at the 3 and Gomes back at the 4, but I actually like what Scal has brought as a starter. He hasn't done a bad job at all, and the defense is needed.

Scals guards the better post player and gives Big Al a bit of a break on the defensive end of the floor.
