Will Colangelo be Executive of the Year? I definitely think that he will be a contender for it. He's turned the team around right when he came into the Raptors organization. Thanks to Wayne Embry his life with the Raptors made it even easier for him. With the Cap Space he signed Anthony Parker and Jorge Garbaosa and resigned Chris Bosh to an extension. If rose was still with us that wouldn't of happened until another 2 years cause of roses big contract. We also luckily got the 1st round pick and has definitely been shown to be a better choice to draft Bargnani over Aldridge. He also traded Charlie to feel a need for a PG TJ Ford. He also signed Fred Jones who has been a disappointment though so far. But with all those key additions that Raptors wouldn't been so successful if we still had Rob Babcock. Also if Raptors continue their great play until the season ends, he has a good chance of winning it once again.

If my vote counted, Colangelo would get my vote. He has done such a great job. He did in Phoenix and he has had a great start in Toronto. He comes into each situation with a plan, and he sticks to it. He has come into Toronto and he has done great. The T.J. Ford trade was great (they got a running playmaking PG who fits their system perfectly), he picked up two euro STEALS in Parker/Garbajosa (both have had excellent years), he got himself a very promising 7 footer in Bargnani, and he got a solid role player in Freddie Jones. Toronto is easily one of the most improved teams this year. Colangelo set them up with a nice direction, and they have done better than anybody expected this year.

I tip my hat to Bryan Colangelo and I tip my hat to the Raptors players for proving everybody, including myself, wrong.

No doubt he will win its not even close... anyway Fred Jones has not really done his job. He is more then likely on his way out.

I think he should win it and this would be his second time in three years with two different teams. I doubt that's ever happened. Toronto's going to likely win 15-20 more games than last year (from 27 last year to 45 or so this year, maybe more) and it's largely due to the 9 new players he brought in via trade, free agency and the draft. I don't know if another GM could have turned this team around so fast. He brought in quality, team first guys that are producing. As for Fred Jones, he's struggling, but so what. That's why you have a deep team. I wouldn't give up on the guy. He's not making that much and he could bounce back pretty fast. Plus, if Peterson leaves in the offseason (I hope not) then they're going to need Jones next year. You can't just bail on guys because they have a bad 40 games.

A rumored deal is Fred Jones for Juan Dixon.

Guys like Jones are a dime a dozen and if he's not delivering after 40 games, you find someone else.

Well Jone's numbers have dropped as the season progressed. When in the beginning he would drive and get his points. But around December and January he got lazy and jsut kept jacking up 3s which made him get benched since he wasn't producing well. But if you actually think about it, he was a good pickup in the agency after you saw what he did last season.

it would be hard to find a general manager who has done more for their team this season than because. the team went from bottom dweller last year to having the fourth best record in the east and being on top of their division. with home court advantage in the playoffs, at this point that is . is there a general manager that has made as much of an impact this year? I would say no. the turnaround is based on the moves made by b.c., and his managing has taken the raptors from the bottom to the top and they are still growing. b.c. gets my vote!

Not many GMs has done much for their team this year including the trade dead line, but I doubt without the addition of Rasho, Parker and Garbaosa we wouldn't be where we are today. His move to bring in Juan Dixon was smart. We save $1 million in cap this year, but we are still going to be over the cap. The trade for Charlie and TJ was another great deal where we got the better end of it. We have ourselves a true PG who wants to run with the team. Another smart move he did was to lockup Bosh. Bosh is going to be a Raptor for life, and many fans already know that. But I'm still waiting for what he brings to us during the offseason and who he will draft.

I hope so. I really like the Colangelo family and what they brought to Arizona and I think Bryan is doing a good job in Toronto.

He is doing an amazing job right now for the raps. He is making all of the right moves, and he has turned this team around 180 degrees. You cant ask for much more out of the guy.
