I don't think there's anything wrong with taking calls for any player unless they were 25 year old Lebron.

There's a difference between listening to offers and seriously entertaining them. But if (say) Milwaukee offered Giannis (which, of course, they wouldn't) then the FO would be remiss not to take that seriously (i.e., jump on it in a second).

Why wouldn't the Blazers listen to calls about Lillard? What if an offer comes in that is too good to pass up? You blindly tell them he is untouchable?

I don't see Lillard as An untouchable player. Might as well listen even if you do nothing with it.

Hypothetically, if the spurs called and offered kawhi leonard, would you tell them to go to hell?

Or the sixers offered ben simmons, and his rehab was great, along with a 1st.... you wouldnt listen?

I'm not saying I want to trade him. But any team would be stupid to not listen to the calls, especially if you were losing like us and had two guards that cant play defense in our backcourt.

Trading Dame would be a mistake.

    Just my opinion.

Nothing wrong with listening. Neil wouldn't be doing his job if he wasn't. Plus, I really want a new PGOF thread :gasoline:

It isn't a surprise that they are listening (every team should listen, especially ours) it is a surprise that they let it get out. We don't let things out unless it is to Woj. So this tells me we wanted it out there. Either to light a fire in Dame (he could use it) or to drive up some value for another reason.

Wait, there's Sam Amick and Sam Amico, and one of them is credible and the other is not. Is this the credible one?

It's amico, he probably made it up.

And who cares anyway, every good player gets talked about, doesn't mean much.

Sam Amick works for USA today. Sam Amico runs a blog and has written articles on multiple syndications out of Cleveland. Amico often appears on Courtside.

That is certainly another possibility... Lets just say if it is true then we wanted it to get out for one reason or another (not saying it is true).

Last week, the rumor was that Dame was being apprised by Neil & co about roster decisions.

Today, Neil is a candidate for the GM job in LA (a demotion for him btw), and listening to offers for Dame.
