Pau Gasol or Zach Randolph?Both are skilled big men, meaning they can shoot pretty good and get points and rebounds.Gasol has the edge on passing and dribbling.Randolph gets him on the boards.They both sport good jumpers, but I think Pau has a little more range.....Any thoughts?
everything you pretty much said, Pau is a alot better defender, and he has actually been getting Randolph like rebvounds lately...if he keeps it up he'll be averaging 10rpg,no doubt.The only PFs...or big men who are better than Pau is KG, Brand,Dirk, Duncan, Ming, Oneal's,...only yhr surpeme big men. Pau is not there yet, but right below them...hes almost at that point.
I think that Pau is a better player. He is a better defender obviously, he is a very good passing big man, he has good footwork, and range for a big man, and he is a pretty good rebounder as well. Also, one thing that he has been able to do pretty well over the last few years is get his team to the playoffs with a pretty good record. Even though he hasnt done anything in the playoffs at all, and this year his team is doing terrible, he still has gotten them there. I think that Randolph is basically just a better rebounder, and not even by much, but that is about all.
I would have to agree with ballerman that right now in their careers Pau Gasol is the better player. He obviously is the better defender and rebounder and although he doesn't score as much he scores in the same area. Pau also has very good range for a big man.
