<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'><span style="font-size:12pt;line-height:100%">All-Star Game As Part Of NBA All-Star Weekend Highlights 2006-07 Development League Schedule</span>GREENVILLE, S.C., July 18, 2006 ? The announcement of the inaugural NBA Development League All-Star Game highlights the release of the 2006-07 D-League schedule. The All-Star game will be played as part of Jam Session at the 2007 NBA All-Star Weekend in Las Vegas and will be televised by NBA TV.The NBA D-League All-Star Game will be played on Saturday, Feb. 17 at Jam Session Center Court immediately following practices for the East and West NBA All-Star Teams. Teams representing the Eastern and Western Divisions of the D-League will be selected by a vote that includes fans, as well as D-League players and coaches. D-League All-Star Game voting procedures will be finalized and released in the near future. The head coach of the team with the best record in each division two weeks prior to the All-Star game will coach the teams.?We are delighted to have the first D-League All-Star Game as part of NBA All-Star Weekend,? D-League President Phil Evans said. ?This will be an experience our players will long remember, and coupled with our annual Showcase in January, affords NBA teams an additional avenue to gather at one location to see the best the D-League has to offer.?With seven new markets and 12 teams for 2006-07, the D-League will be divided into divisions for the first time. The Arkansas RimRockers, Austin Toros, Dakota Wizards, Fort Worth Flyers, Sioux Falls Skyforce and Tulsa 66ers will comprise the Eastern Division. The Albuquerque Thunderbirds, Anaheim Arsenal, Bakersfield Jam, Colorado 14ers, Idaho Stampede and Los Angeles make up the Western Division.A 50-game regular season schedule for each team is highlighted by 72-percent of the total scheduled home games being played on the weekend, which has proven to be preferable to D-League fans in their search for affordable, family entertainment options. The season begins Nov. 24 with five games, including regional and cross-town rivalries such as Anaheim hosting Los Angeles, Dakota at Sioux Falls and Arkansas at Tulsa. Colorado plays the first game in 14ers history at Idaho and defending D-League champion Albuquerque is host to Austin.</div>How do you guys feel about this? I feel that its a great idea because it really gives some of the players to shine and get exposed to the public.

Pops has been great and IMO should win MVPthe game was particularly good because the players actually show effort and play defense unlike the Pro Bowl/NBA All Star Game and it isn't just a dunk contest and an ally oop showthey're trying to make names for themselves and a few of them have

I'm interested in seeing how Stephen Graham did today. But it's a great opportunity for the players in development to get a taste of what life will feel in the NBA. Also more people will start to watch them, if it starts getting exciting.

Props to Pops for MVP. Representing the Mavericks very well, too bad Barea couldn't have been there but Pops looked like he was impressive. I don't know how much that transistions to the pro game but I guess we'll see. It's better than him sucking, that's for sure.
