“In our sun-down perambulations, of late, through the outer parts of Brooklyn, we have observed several parties of youngsters playing base, a certain game of ball...Let us go forth awhile, and get better air in our lungs. Let us leave our closed rooms...the game of ball is glorious.”

It is February 24 and the temps in New York City area will reach 70 degrees and I am wearing shorts and my Yankees
will take the field in Florida in a few hours. Will miracles ever cease.
Don't you just love climate change? Oh, next week we're getting a snowstorm!......maybe.
But my Yankees will still be playing baseball. Thank you.

Ellsbury MIA today, must have stubbed his toe. Other than Headley the rest of the lineup looks OK. Judge, the man is big enough to hunt bears with a switch, pulling for him to get it together.

...Sunny here today and it's supposed to get up to 82...on the tractor with shorts and no shirt harrowing the 15 acre field behind our house...time for some sun on my pale and winterized skin.

...nope, according to The Onion's official injury report, Ellsbury is absent today because of a sprained vagina.

it's been fkng freezing in this fkng desert, high of 46 yesterday, low of 31 last night, still freezing as my fingers speak...a reversal of roles b/t here and the northern midwest, plains also... prior to mid-Feb., this was the warmest winter out here on record....!! No more...

You know, I tried to explain to a friend that Yankee baseball makes me feel like a kid again.......my period of rejuvenation.
Just like Spring, watching &/or listening to Yankee baseball is my rebirth of life....he just doesn't get it.....sad that not everyone gets it.

No more reality shows for me. Baseball has always been my favorite sport. Even if the Yankees suck I still can't help myself.
