Re: Dwight Howard's request... denied For those who weren't aware, Dwight Howard wanted to raise the rim to 12 feet instead of the regulation 10 for his dunk during this years dunk contest, but David Stern said no. I would have wanted to see a 12 foot dunk but I can understand why it was denied. I'm sure it would take some time to adjust the rim from 10, to 12, then back to 10 again. That would have been insane, I heard he dunked on a 12 1/2 rim at practice.
Re: Dwight Howard's request... denied Lol... definitely would've been cool to see. Maybe he can take his own rim
Re: Dwight Howard's request... denied It's too bad his request got denied. It would have been amazing to see him dunk on a 12 foot rim.
Re: Dwight Howard's request... denied This was only for his dunks correct? The other people would not have had to dunk on it as well?Imagine Nate Robinson on a 12 foot rim. He'd have to jump twice his height.
Re: Dwight Howard's request... denied I've seen people dunk on 12 foot hoopsits pretty sweetif D12 could somehow work finesse into this with a windmill or something..that would be sweet
Re: Dwight Howard's request... denied I don't see why it was denied. They could have just raised one of the two goals to 12-foot after the 3-point contest was finished, and allow him to dunk on that one for his dunk while everybody else could still dunk on the regulation 10-foot goal. But, whatever...
Re: Dwight Howard's request... denied LOL, Howard just wanted to do that becase he doesn't have any unique dunks, and he thought that that might raise his points a bit.....Tough luck...He'll have to think of something really cool, or he'll be out in the first round.

Re: Dwight Howard's request... denied Stern probably rejected this because he didn't want his to have an advantage. It would seem more impressive than the others. This way the judges wont jack off to him like they did nate last year.....all though there are much better judges this year.
Re: Dwight Howard's request... denied I dont understand why they would deny him this. It would have been an amazing thing to see. And im pretty sure that Duncan said he would stand under the rim and let Dwight dunk on him on 12 feet. That would be nuts....Duncan gets dunked on enough, one more couldnt hurt. haha

I agree with Analyst, Stern prob. didn't want to give him an advantage kind of like Nate did last year

Re: Dwight Howard's request... denied Ahh, man. A dunk on a 12 foot rim would've been awesome. Ah, well, I bet Dwight will still come up with something interesting. This guy is going to be good.
Re: Dwight Howard's request... denied dwight howard dunking on a 12 ft hoop is almost equivalent to nate robinson dunking on a 10 ft hoop. it would just look better because they are relatively small compared to how high the hoop actually is.I just want to say that sticker dunk howard did was amazing!
