In 1971, Chamberlain once had the offer to fight heavyweight boxing legend Muhammad Ali, but Chamberlain finally refused the match. In an 1999 interview, Chamberlain stated that boxing trainer Cus D'Amato wanted to train him for the fight, and they offered Ali and him $5 million each to fight in the Houston Astrodome. However, after checking back with his father, Chamberlain finally said no.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCa9oCbj7-U
Wilt Chamberlain would kick Ali's ass 10 times over. Wilt was strong like an oxe and well over 7'0" tall, the fight would be over in a couple minutes.
Ali was a professional fighter. Wilt as big as he is would have no chance. He might have been as strong and bigger but in boxing "ringmanship" counts for a lot. Ali would have absolutley bamboozled Wilt. The reason Wilt father prob said no was more than likely because of the beating Wilt would have received. IMO it wold have been good for him though- chopped down his massive ego a bit.
Being a boxer myself and knowing the tips and tricks, I know for a fact Ali would win. Wilt was big and strong but boxing takes a lot of mental knowledge as well. Ali would find openings on Wilts body, that even Wilt didn't know were there. I give this 4-5 rounds before it's over.
If Wilt was focused on kicking ass, he would demloish Ali....I'm sorry, but do you know how strong this guy was?
Everybody knows how strong Wilt Chamberlain was, Ali was no pushover either. Ali destroyed people who were STRONGER than Wilt was. Like I said before, I'm a boxer and I know for a fact strength can sometimes mean nothing. Ali is a professional, he was a trained fighter...
Wilt would demolish him with only a few blows...Plus...he is so much taller than Ali. How would Ali even reach his face. Ali would just give him rib shots, which would leave Wilt free to pound him in the face.
Haha this wouldn't even be a fight... Ali would kick his ass. I don't care how strong Wilt is, Ali was a professional fighter and knew how to box and was one of the best ever. End of story.

In boxing, Ali would OWN Wilt. Just too fast and strong. But in a street fight, Wilt would destroy Ali because then he could use whatever he needed like throwing him around.

Ali took all the blows for like 12 rounds, and then BAM! Ali knocked him out. Ali would find a way to beat Wilt.
