Hopefully he comes back better from that injury than Meyers did.

Wait, Meyers and Davis both tore their labrums at the same time last year?!?

    Kinky!

Meyers had the same surgery last year and no one around here seems to have any sympathy for his difficult recovery.

I did actually feel for Meyers. I know that may be hard for believe. But following baseball my entire life, there is no worse surgery for a position player in that sport to have. It destroy your power and hardly anybody ever recovers from it fully. In basketball, where there is so much contact, I can see why Meyers might be gun shy. Of course, he already was hardly much of a post threat so he doesn't get physical much any way.

Can't develop a winning streak for the playoffs. Lose close ones. Lose Davis. Can't improve. Being a Blazer is like falling off a cliff. dude falls .jpg

Not sure that is the case. Falling off a cliff has an initial rush, followed by an eventual death.

Im not sure there is an end to this.

I guess this explains why Nards is playing.
Sigh this whole season has been shit. After the first 20 games, haven't had the same 9-10 guys out there for it seems like 2 weeks straight.

Why? He has tried out with multiple teams and none of those teams (i.e. BOS that desperately needs help up front) were impressed enough to sign him. I don't think he's the player he once was. If he was half that player, he would have been signed by now.

Or, perhaps he'd rather remain alive.

Seriously, would you risk your life to join this shit show?

Well....I don't think rolling a boulder up a hill matches our state of affairs. To me, it feels more like we "lost" ground and had receded, fallen into a lost period of this season especially after the Toronto and Detroit games.

Time for a Nurk, Napier, Connington trio on the court after we lose the next two games.

The sad thing is, Joel Freeland is a hell of a lot better than Meyers on both ends.

You don't get a roster spot with Ed out. You would have to cut someone to bring in another player. I don't see a reason to do that in this somewhat lost season.

Cut either Quarterman or Connaughton, whichever one they're not planning on bringing back next season. Neither have guaranteed contracts so it's a good bet one or both will be gone anyway. Or just tell Ezeli to fuck off.

My only question is financial. I've read that we have the ability to sign someone for the minimum and not go into luxury tax, but I've also read the opposite, so not sure which one is true.

They gained a little room with the Nurkic for Plumlee swap so if that is enough room for a minimum contract, they could still add someone. Not sure why a player like Sanders would sign here when he could go to a playoff team.
