    What is amazing is that Nurkic puts up huge numbers and plays that many minutes without foul trouble....smart, smart player for 22...as far as I'm concerned, we won the lottery getting this guy

    And did I read he didn't play organized ball until he was 14? Shit. He already understands more about basketball than Meyers ever will. You can't teach Meyers what Nurk already knows.

    Great to see Nurk looking great in all facets of the game. Dude is going to be such a monster for us and frankly he already is. That's a solid building block down low.

    With that said, that was a prime opportunity to gain footing in the lottery AND have OKC catch Memphis so that pushes up that pick as well. Do I like rooting for losses? Fuck no. But we have a legitimate shot at landing a Top 3 pick (if we finish Top 8) in a loaded draft class. If we throw that chance out the window for a few meaningless wins in March ... that would be the most Blazers thing possible.
