I think a true pick and roll big like Nurk will help him, but yes I agree he should get a couple workouts/practices in before he returns to action.

His shot is shit anyways, so maybe we can get those intangibles back.

He was shooting pretty well before he went down.

He had 24 pts just before his injury...he's just starting to really click with the team..I don't need him to be a 3 pt shooter as much as a drive or dish defender who can make a layup and a free throw..get 3 pts the old way.

Yes he started out slowly, but that mid-range turnaround has been money for ET.

Looking forward to getting ETs complementary set of skills back into the starting unit.
ET & Nurk passing should open up plenty of baseline cut opportunities.

I don't see the magic. Since Turner can't shoot, the p&r aspect shouldn't be that effective.

Wade has never been known as a shooter, yet the pick and roll worked fine for him.
Rondo isn't a shooter, yet he's never had an issue with pick and roll.(regardless of the headcase he is)
Andre Miller isn't a shooter, yet his entire career he was great with the pick and roll.
Jason Kidd wasn't a shooter early in his career, yet he ran the pick and roll well with Kenyon Martin.
I could keep going, there is more to basketball than being able to shoot at league average in threes.
I know you know more basketball than this comment you left makes it sound.

Just curious: what is our starting lineup going to look like when he comes back? Will he still come off the bench?

    Dame
    CJ
    Nurk
    Harkless/Turner (?)
    Vonleh

    Does that sound about right?

And more importantly, what's going to happen to Crabbe?

I think Stotts will wait for Turner to start playing well again before he supplants Harkless as the starter.
But recently it's not starting games that Portland has had issues defensively, it's finishing quarters/games.
I think without a doubt Turner will supplant Harkless when Portland is finishing games.
Crabbe is like Batum, an enigma. Though Batum was extremely more talented than Crabbe.

Drinks? Hooch was a spitter. I have ot beleive Hanks thinks that was one of the worse movies he has done having to let Hooch slobber nasty dog saliva all over him.
