How do you guys feel about a first round playoff series against the Spurs?

The Spurs are hot and the Warriors are cold and injured. It is not out of the realm of possibility that the Spurs move up and take the #1 seed. So if we get the 8 seed, what do you guys think? Would you prefer this to GS? They've already beaten us twice pretty badly but Dame didn't play in one of the games and Nurk, of course, didn't play in either. Can we beat the Spurs in a playoff series? Would it be especially sweet to take out Aldridge?

Meh. Durant will be back by the playoffs. It's a wash.

Not necessarily. All they've said is that he'll be re-evaluated in 4 weeks. There is no timeline for return. Just hope.

    Pretty much.

As in you equally don't want to play either one of them.

I think they are better defensively and would be less likely to do stupid stuff that would cost them a game. You could beat the Warriors with good D and a decent offensive night. To beat the Spurs you are going to need to do everything right.

West playoffs are always a rock paper scissors match.

Either one.....although if we get in I actually think playing against the Spurs is better experience for our new roster..it's like a defensive training camp for the new look roster. To beat Lamarcus once in a playoff game would be sweeter than beating Durant once.

I think nothing would be sweeter than knocking that stacked GSW starting 5 out of the playoffs.

Would rather take out Aldridge in first round, then KD in the WCFs

Why do we care if Denver plays the Spurs or Warriors in the 1st round of the playoffs?

If Denver is 8 seed, I'd definitely prefer they play GS. That would be a fun series that could go 7.

I have no problem cheering for Will Barton or Mason Plumlee and moving up the draft but only if it's not on purpose...or if it is, they hide it really well

Personally I want GSW to fall to the 2nd seed and then lose in the first round to OKC.

We would not win the series against either. We could maybe win two games, at a push, but will never win 4.

    Hello Mudda,
    Hello Fadda,
    We would still be,
    Playoff fodder.

    I would rather,
    Go by my motto,
Let's lose some games and take our chances in the lotto.

lets d it. If it is GSW, Id rather not. We already did them. Lets see up clse and personal what a strict and disciplined team defense is like so we can use it in the off season as a lesson to grow off of.

If we get the 15 pick vs the 10 pick, not much difference. Why? Because we need to make a trade or two anyhow. We will probably need to shed Meyers along with our Cleve pick to some dumb GM in exchange for cash and/or a 2nd round or something.

We cant add 3 draftees to the roster and expect to contend. We cant continue with the roster cap and contend. One thing I am pretty sure of is a trade will include a player and a pick in some way or fashion.
I think that is the reason we got the third pick, so we can afford to use one in a trade and still have options in the draft.

Everyone is freaking out because of the CURRENT situation, but nothing is set in stone and everything is fluid in the basketball world. in one year we can be in a completely different situation. Will we be contenders? Not sure, but we have alot of pieces to play with to figure it out and what we need to do in the off season now.
