"He was in camp with us last season and he looked like he was in great shape," said Bryant at today's All-Star media session. "I'm going to tell him there's a place in the triangle for him." [READ]
I wouldn't mind seeing him in a Lakers uniform. Like I said in another thread, the two teams I see him going to if he does return are the Bulls or the Lakers.
Lol I still can't believe Pippen wants to come back...do you actually think he'll be productive? He's 40-something...
In the thread about this in General NBA, I said that I thought LA was the best fit. They need help running the offense, Pippen obviously knows the triangle, they need some veteran leadership, and I'm sure Scottie would love to play for Phil again. I just think the fit is too perfect.
This is the team that would be pest for Pippen if he came back. Veteran Leadership is definitely one thing that they could use on that ball club. They obviously have Kobe who is their leader right now, and then Aaron McKie, but besides that, this is a very young ball club. Scottie won 6 rings under Phil, so if Scottie was to come back, I think this would be the best place for him.
it looks like Scottie is coming I read on hoopsworld Phil maybe tried a lot of things to bring him but it would be great if he comes he can help us play D and actually be like a player-coach which is good.

LA is the best fit by far. He would actually get some minutes. He would be a great help to Luke Walton. With Vlad out now they would be able to give him decent minutes, who knows? I love Scottie!

The lakers are never going to cut a guy like Vlad. And people are blowing this lying thing out of proportion. He just did it because he knew that the coaches would get mad because he probably shouldnt have been snowboarding. He should not have lied, but that is no reason to go drastic about cutting him. Pippen is done with, and he cant hack it in the NBA anymore. If they want leadership out of a person, they dont need to cut a guy who is a very deadly shooter, and is one of your top 7-8 players. That would be flat out stupid....
