That was actually my favorite part. Blowout loss, Jordan on the bench.......Nurk gave zero fucks and trashed talked anyway.

The pinwheel needs to play more defense and stop taking so many contested threes. I like him though. Keeper.

If we can trim the fat and add one more game changer, we could really improve next year. I would personally want to keep Harkless and Aminu. They are both on good contracts and add a lot to the team. Aminu has been pretty damned good so far after coming back from injury. He is passing to guards on fast breaks! Plus, he is probably our most versatile defender. I like that he has been pump faking his 3 and driving to the hoop lately. Now Meyers and Crabbe are the real problems. Not sure how we can trim that fat. I love Allen's 3 point percentage and he would be a really good role player on any championship level team. Imagine him getting 15 minutes a game for Cleveland right now. Or the spurs. He's just getting paid to be something more. And Meyers......let's not go there. We have discussed him ad nauseum. I'm hoping we can trade draft picks along with one of those two for another needle mover.

I really think if we want Dame/CJ to work just got to surround them with guys who do everything else. Aminu is ok, and his weaknesses are less magnified with Nurk out there because he can crash weak side for boards and roam a little more but on offense he is just shit a lot of the time.

Would love to get someone like Avery Bradley as another backcourt mate for Dame and CJ and ditch Crabbe. You could keep both Dame and CJ down to 34 minutes a night and still give Bradley 28-30 while letting him just unleash hell on defense and spread the floor on offense AND act as another outlet that can handle the ball out there. Basically if only one of Dame or CJ is out there there is always a secondary ball handler (or two with Turner) that plays great perimeter defense. Crabbe just doesn't do enough.

Exactly. Crabbe does not do enough. Aminu is spotty, but he is versatile enough and on a really good contract. Any team could use a guy like him. And if we bring in another needle mover, his role would be lessened to point where he would just come into backup sf and PF, play defense, crash the boards and cut to the hoop with the occasional wide open 3. He is valuable and cheap. I think he is just being asked to do too much currently. But, that changes if we bring someone else in. He is a great backup piece though.

Also, as much as I want Noah to succeed, he just isn't. He has the body and seems to be a great dude, but, he can't finish inside to save his life. He gets stuffed a good percentage of the time he tries to go up in traffic. I would try to flip him for something as well. He needs to learn footwork and moves like ZBO because he can't get it done on pure athleticism. I would throw him in any trade along with draft picks for a game changer. And I like the guy. Just not seeing him putting it together. Flip him while we still can.

I see dame, CJ, Nurk, and Harkless as our core going forward. We're missing a power forward. A power forward that doesn't need the ball, but can rebound and play defense. That really shouldn't be that hard to find. Usually those two things translate from college to the pros.

Assuming we're picking somewhere outside the top 12, a guy like Bam Adebayo. Not only does he fit a need, but he's also got a rather high upside, so it wouldn't just be filling a need. I love his athleticism, his energy, and how he crashes the offensive boards.

No one has said this but...Nurkic is tall, not just wide.

In the video, the only time you see Nurkic next to Deandre Jordan is about 15 seconds after the start. Jordan was taller than Plumlee, but he's the same height as Nurkic. And Jordan is always huskier than his opponent, but not this time...not Nurkic.

Ha ha. The writer calls Nurkic a "utility center." While Nurkic may have played a few minutes alongside Jokic, Nurkic will never, ever play forward for the Blazers. Nurkic is one of the biggest centers in the NBA. For the first time since Aldridge, we have superior size at a position.

I don't know if Nurk has grown since his draft measurements, but he does look bigger than his stated size. Mason Plumlee actually measured over 6'11 at the combine, while Nurk measured 6'10, but Mason just looked small compared to almost every center we faced, while Nurk is giving me flashbacks of 7'4 Sabonis.

Pretty sure utility center means does a little bit of everything. The writer mentioned the OKC game where he had 6 assists and 5 blocks
