A lot of you thought it a failure that we didn't get Dwight Howard or Whiteside. Do you still think that? Or is Nurkic the better of the 3? Never mind we also got another pick. Also, in your written response, do you prefer Cousins to all 3?

Howard, Whiteside, and Cousins are all head cases! (Cousins just got fined 50k for saying, "Suck a D*** B****!" to a Laker fan. While I hate Lakers fans, that can't make the Pelicans organization look good)

Nurkic is tough and so far is refreshing to watch. Reminds of when I was a kid watching Sabonis play.

I love what Nurkic brings in terms of toughness and passing ability, but Whiteside is just another level of intimidating with his rim protection and rebounding. I'm happy with Nurk, but I'd be even happier with Whiteside.

I think offensively, Nurkic is a lot better. You can run a lot of things through Nurk because of his passing ability and post scoring.

Whiteside is on another level protecting the paint obviously, but I think Nurk has an edge guarding the perimeter over Whiteside. He's got surprising lateral quickness.

It would be between Nurk and Whiteside only. (Not Howard) Whiteside is having a monster year. He is 5 years older though. Honestly I think it's too early to know because how important chemistry is in basketball.

I picked Nurkic. Whiteside is a very close 2nd for me though. He has had more pt to develop though. Nurkic will grow with us.

And that we have him on a decent contract for another season. And that we got him AND A PICK for Plumlee. And I'm a HUGE Plumlee fan.

Exactly. I loved Plumdog, but Nurkic just adds a completely different element to our team. I am once again excited to watch games again just to see what will happen. Don't get me wrong, I have never turned my fandom off and even watched every game that I could during that terrible period between the Sheed trade and the Roy and LA draft. Dark days. But, the addition of Nurkic has me as excited as I have been in years. The team is fun to watch again.

Nurk and a pick over Whiteside

Whiteside better defense, so maybe him over Nurk straight up

Tough decizh. If we signed Whiteside this summer, then we don't re-sign Biebs, and his $10 M per.

Exactly where I come down. Since the OP said "never mind that we got another pick", I voted Whiteside, simply based on what I think his presence would have done for our team. And if we are factoring in the pick, then we should also consider that if we had signed Whiteside, perhaps we don't re-sign Leonard, don't sign Turner, don't sign Ezeli, keep Mason, etc...

The dude that was heckling him was a Cavs fan lol. He's a YouTuber with nearly a million subscribers. Got drunk and was sitting there calling him a fatass song he needs to stop eating donuts lol.

Its funny because he's a big Cousins fan too.

Considering the contract...Nurk is more bang for the buck and when he's in real game shape he may be as good as any of them but Whiteside is the best center right now on the list...not sure he's the best Portland fit, Nurk is fitting in seamlessly..

Then that easily makes Whiteside the winner

Haha well good for Cousins then! And not saying Cousins would not bring an awesome post presence to Portland......just trying to point out that his being on the team might take away from the culture I feel the Blazers are trying to create

I am in this camp at this time and I have lobbied for a long while before the deadline for a Nurk trade, Nurk may have me change my tune in the future but Whiteside acquired in last summers FA would have had a big impact on this team
