I don't know about the rest of you guys but IMO this was a boring ass allstar weekend, there were some good moments but I think as a whole this allstar weekend was whack and one of the worse I ever saw.
agreed. Wasted my saturday night yesterday. But I liked the 3pt contest and the run between Dick and Barkley the most. Everything else was garbage.
I think I made this years all star games a let down for myself - I was hyping this up so much and it was less than what I expected - but I still enjoyed it to a degree.
Agreed, this one sucked the big one. But here are some things to remember: 1) Dwight Howard's sticker dunk. 2) Barkley v. Bavetta race. 3) Nothing in the 3 pt contest wasn't all that exciting, but it was one of the better events at All Star Saturday night. 4) Gerald Green dunking over Nate Robinson.
It was horrible. USUALLY, out of the 3 nights, one of them is great. Last year it was all 3 nights, the year before Saturday night was awesome, the year before that Friday and Saturday night was great, the year before that everything was great, etc...This year, everything sucked. The 2 main games were blowouts, and all the contests were half-assed and mightily dissapointing.

The thing I wanted to look forward to turned out to be terrible. I'm talking about the All Star game. I wanted to see the East win, and see Wade and James go off. But, that couldn't happen with that ugly defense.All well, overall, probably the worst I have seen, also.
I didn't like Saturday night and I don't care about Friday night but I did find the actual game very entertaining even in the blow-out.

I was out of the house for both nights, sounds like I made the right choice not to stay home and watch this stuff...AS Weekend for me is always pretty boring/bad because I enjoy watching good basketball.
Yeah this AS Weekend sucked...I couldnt bare to watch the East get killed in the All-Star game and ended up watching the Science channel lol that was actually interesting unlike the ASG. Saturday night was awful except a few dunks and the three point contest (I didnt mind seeing Wade win Skills Challeng either ) The highlight of All-Star Weekend might have been Shaq dancing in the East's practice on Saturday
I thought it was a good saturday.....with the exception of the dunk contest it was terrific. The 3pt contest was one of the best ever statistically the skills challenge was really good with the star players and the barkley race was classic. I thought it was a great saturday night.
I think I consider it a bad allstar weekend because since it was in Vegas and all I was expecting a all time great allstar weekend, So I think I was kind of let down. TO me I don't think the crowd was all that excited it was just basically a whole bunch of millionaires who were only there to celebrate the allstar game being there and not like real fans.
Saturday night was pretty boring. the Skills Competition is always a snooze fest, three point contest wasnt that great, surprisingly I liked the Shooting Stars thing, but the Dunk Contest was pretty dissapointing. I thought Gerald would do better than that, and the rest of the contestants sucked. The League did a sh*tty job of picking all star contestants.
I thought that the shooting stars was ok on saturday, and the Barkely race was pretty entertaining as well. Besides that, it was kinda boring. The 3 point competiton was a blowout in the final round, and the dunk contest was a let down. As for the All-Star game, it was kinda exciting, but it was a blowout. I would have rather seen a close game...
I had a lot of fun watching the Saturday night events, but the AS game was just incredibly boring, mainly because of the blow-out.....I even fell asleep.
Both games were blowouts. Didn't see any jaw dropping dunks on the dunk contest. The rest was ok IMO. Charles and Dick's race was great. Last year's AS weekend was better.
The dunk contest was easily the worst in recent history. All that hype with the five super judges really got most people going, but it turned out to be very dissapointing.The Barkley/Bavetta race was amusing and hillarious. I got a kick out of watching it. Barkley at the end of the race made me laugh out loud... ".....talk....to.....dick.....first...."
The dunks in the all-star game were better than the 2nd round of the dunk contest. Marion could've done that windmill over a 3 ft. table. Not a big deal for NBA players.
