Whether it's true or not, there is no accountability in our society these days. The kids says that to Parsons, while filming it with a shit eating grin on his face. If not for fear of a civil lawsuit, there was a time when the 6'8" professional athlete would have wiped that grin right off that kid's face. At the very least, Parsons would have smashed the kid's phone and said, "film this asshole". Rather than get what he deserved, that kid will be an internet sensation for his 15 minutes of fame and all his buds will think he's super cool for dissin' Parsons like that. I guess being a rude, inconsiderate asshole is what passes for cool these days. BNM
His azz absolutely deserves to get beat (and something certainly could have happened off-camera), no doubt! I guess I am saying it would be worse if it wasn't true. But also, his comment is pointed to the wrong person. It should be pointed to whoever signed him.
Yep, the Grizz knew Parsons was coming back from an injury. They gave him a physical and saw his complete medical history. I'm not a Parson's fan, but that shit was uncalled for. The kid obviously still has his phone, or he wouldn't have been able to post that shit. If I was Parsons, at the very least, I would have smashed the kids phone and said, "Fuck it, sue me. Worst case I'll owe you $500 for a new phone." BNM
Haha. Whooptie do. 94 million dollars. You can say I killed Mother Theresa and I wouldn't care. Try grabbing my phone and things are going to escalate. Who has more to lose, the regular guy who can file bankruptcy if he gets a 50 grand judgement against him or the guy worth millions? These athletes probably look in the mirror before they go out and say to themselves "let shit go, let shit go" If they don't, they should. Nurkic, I'd run. Parsons wouldn't play again.
Also, someone could probably run from Parsons if they had to. He might not catch you with that gimpy knee.
We live in a fucked up society where people can deliberately provoke someone and be rewarded for their behavior. That's the opposite of accountability. No wonder that kid's an asshole and thinks it's "cool" to be one. BNM
Not me, I got two that my doctor said they could remove the kneecap and scrape them and put them back on. I should have said I wouldn't say shit to Jusef. Couldn't outrun either one of them.
He's an asshole, but I've been provoked a bazillion times and never punched anyone first. I've pushed people and dared them to swing, but that's it. I was taught "stickes and stones may break..." You get it, words don't hurt me unless they're from someone I love.
In the last 10 games, the Blazers are 6-4. What's funny is that every team in the running for the last two playoff spots, with the exception of the Grizzlies (who are a woeful 3-7), is 6-4 in their last 10 games as well. Ten games played and nothing much decided.
Perhaps, but in this case, he was approached by a "fan" and graciously posed for a video with the "fan" only to have the "fan" shit all over him. I loved it when C.J. called him out on Twitter, but that was totally different, that was two competitors trading barbs. This was Parsons being accessible, which many players aren't, only to have the "fan" shit talk him and then post it online. And, in the end, when "fans" treat players like this, it will make them even more reluctant to be accessible and interact with fans. That douchebag makes the rest of us look bad. He poorly represents what it means to be a fan (which is why I used quotation remarks when referring to him as a "fan"). BNM
The kid was a douche but wishing for violence against him is going a bit too far. I wish a muthafucka (ESPECIALLY a douche like Parsons) WOULD break my phone. That's just asking for more violence. The 6'9" athlete still has vulnerable balls and there are IMO no rules in a street fight.
Hecklers have been alive and well since the dawn of man. People have to understand that fan is short for fanatic. These are the same spoiled ass athletes who participate in twitter beef WITH the same fanatics.
