I couldn't root for him. I hope he doesn't land here. He'll embarrass the great city of Portland at some point

Olshey won't draft Allen due due to his on court behavior this here at Duke.

He's one of those white dudes that's good in college but won't do anything in the pros, like Adam Morrison and Jimmer.

You wouldn't take this guy with a late 1st?

Immense talent. He'll reform his ways on the court, people are onto the tripping thing. He's a smart guy, just super competitive and needs keep his emotions in check.

I could see him going undrafted. He'd be late second round and we don't have a pick so I doubt he la dam here unless undrafted.

His defense and awareness are what I noticed too. Definitely looks like he has the tools to be a pro player.

I think someone will draft him if he comes out but I don't see us drafting him.

Justin Jackson intrigues me. 6'8 SF with a 6'11 wingspan and a great 3 ball. Has improved every year at UNC and comes with more maturity as he is a junior this year. He has defensive potential, needs to improve foot speed but his length makes up for a lot of that. Currently projected around #13 pick this year, could move up with a good tournament.

Drafting a mature SF would make trading a Moe or AC a lot easier from a roster standpoint. Hes a player I'll be keeping my eye on during the tourney.

I am just starting to research this draft class. My first impression is, I do not believe this class is as deep and talented as the hype has made it out to be.

This class reminds me of the 2012 draft class. Yes there will be a couple of franchise players, and a several good starters. But I am seeing a lot of players projected to go in the lottery that will have difficulty transitioning their game to the NBA level. And I am also seeing a number of lottery picks that are not ready for the NBA, and should stay in school to develop the fundamentals of their game.

With our pick, it will be difficult to find a player that is NBA ready to be a starter. I am disappointed at what I am seeing in our future, more projects.

The scouts are going to have their work cut out for them. At this point, I have not found a player that maybe available with our pick that I want to draft. I hope the scouts have found him.

    Kobe Bryant 2.0

    18 years old

6'7 SG with elite athleticism and scoring ability. Very unselfish player, looks to make the extra pass. Probably the most NBA ready player in the draft.

Best player in the draft, but he might not even go top 5. If you can make a move to get him you have to go for it.

I don't know about playing him in Crabbes role at the 3. He's definitely a 2 guard, don't know what that would mean for CJ but when you have somebody this talented you have to go for it. Don't pull another Jordan mistake and go for the positional need. If you can land the most talented player in a deep draft then you have to make it work.

    Stats aren't flashy

Like all players who enter the league his situation will play a big factor in determining the player he becomes. I think he would thrive in a situation similar to what Dame came into. A steady role on an already good team.

Portland and Boston are probably the only two teams with a chance at drafting him which can provide that for him.

I'm not sure we could even move our two top picks to get into the top 5. Gonna depend on how much the LAL/PHI/PHX/ORL value him.

No telling. If GM's are high on him then he can go first, but a lot of times lottery teams overlook talent or draft based on positional need and then guys end up sliding down the list.

Boston would be smart to take him with the first pick.

Depends on who he works out for, I think he will make a great impression close to the draft. Hopefully Lonzo Ball crushes it during the Tournament, the more people overlook Ferguson the better.

I'd be down to draft Ferguson. I watched a bit of him in the NBL this past season, and he has all the tools. Bring him off the bench, and trade Crabbe.

Ferguson is like a taller, worse shooting Malik Monk.

    Not a huge fan.

My biggest second round sleepers looked great today:

    Bonzie Colson: 27 pts 8 rebs (10-15 FG | 4-5 3pt)
Ethan Happ: 12 pts 8 rebs (5-8 fg)

I think Happ is has good as Leif from UCLA. The difference Leif can hit the 3 point shoot.

I'm watching the Arizona game and there is no way markkanen is anywhere near ready for the NBA physically. He's going to require patience and time. Not sure Portland is the right fit for him.

Amazing shooter for his size though. But yeah, needs to get into the weight room. Nurkic would send him to the hospital during practice.
