"We’ll have so much winning, you’ll get bored with winning!" - Donald Trump, 2015

    - They can't write an executive order that passes muster, because the intent of the order is admittedly unconstitutional.
    - Alienating our closest allies
    - A pathological liar
    - A budget that is DOA, let alone abusive
    - Health care bill fiasco - especially as Ryan has had 8 years to craft something better than this slapdash bill
    - A wall Mexico certainly won't pay for
    - Wiretap!
    - Russia love
    - Most unpopular new president ever

So what winning is going on here?

Maybe this should have been filed under "What a Buffoon" except that that could also apply to the people who fell for his BS.

And yet the democrats are completely lost and Hillary's power base still runs the party.

I agree - it does sound like a wail, or maybe a cry for help.

But you have seemed to learn well from the master - attack the messenger, not the message.

Trump started melting down as soon as he had to pretend he knew what he was doing..

It all saddens me. Not so much from Trump as I expected that, but that so many of his supporters don't seem to care. If Obama had been mired with 1/10th these Russia foibles most Trump supporters would be pulling their hair out in outrage. But Trump...

I rather doubt you will ever catch Trump, whispering to the Russian (on and open mic), "after the election I can be more flexible."

It's maddening how true that statement is.

Because they believe in facts and that government should try to make peoples' lives better?
Are you making some kind of joke about Hillary's ass?
Because I don't know what "Hillary's power base" is. If you mean "the party establishment that supported what everyone believed was a slam-dunk candidate" is still in place, well yes. But the party establishment that fought Trump tooth and nail is still in place in the Republican Party, isn't it?

Not a huge fan of the Democrats but they're the only vaguely serious political party left now that the Republicans have let the wacko fringe take over.

It is to me too. I miss the days when we had some serious, honorable, conservative Democrats. Long gone.

I feel like we took the executive office to the lottery and blew up the team...next election cycle I expect to see young talent enter politics for a change...DC needed to retool and I guess that's the only positive I can take from the state of the union right now. Trump winning tells any political base that if you don't get it right and put forth a better effort, this is what happens in America...life is after all, a process of elimination...can't wait to dump Trump and elect a team I can root for and support for a change.

Heh heh! Until then, stifle yourself.

This is a funny, yet unsurprising comment, Marz. Soon after the election, when the fur was really flying and some of you more conservative forum members were screaming about what a rotten president Obama was, and how he had screwed American citizens, I asked the harshest critics for specific examples of how Obama had actually screwed them specifically. The only (only!!) person who responded was you. He had cost you (and/or your wife) your healthcare. I get that and I can understand your feelings. But the rest of the Obama bashers remained (and still remain) silent. Not one single example was given. No estimate of increased taxes, no examples of rights or freedoms lost, nothing. My conclusion then is their distaste lies almost exclusively with ideological differences. And that certainly didn't cause them (or you) to "stifle" themselves. We heard you all loud and clear, ad nauseum. So put on your big boy skivvies and toughen up. Turnabout is fair play. It's not our fault you folks supported a moron , but it is certainly our privilege to point out the obvious.....
