Snowboarders and surfers actually use their body more. Again, I know that driving can be tough, but it just requires very little physical activity. It's mostly relying on your car. I know you need skill for it to avoid crashing, but a lot of non-sports activities require skill also. In order to be an athlete you actually have to use your body imo.</div>But all I am saying is that it fits into the definition of sport and athlete, yet people still say it doesn't count. And you guys still haven't answered my question. Is dirt biking a sport? Snowmobiling?1. physically active and strong; good at athletics or sports: an athletic child.2. of, like, or befitting an athlete.3. of or pertaining to athletes; involving the use of physical skills or capabilities, as strength, agility, or stamina: athletic sports; athletic training.4. for athletics: an athletic field.5. Psychology. (of a physical type) having a sturdy build or well-proportioned body structure. In NASCAR-People race to win a competitive season (MLB, NBA, NHL, NFL)People use their physical and mental abilities to win (MLB, NBA, NHL, NFL)People have to have endurance (MLB, NBA, NHL, NFL)People have to be physically and mentally tough (MLB, NBA, NHL, NFL)(And I would like to know how you could lose 50 pounds playing a video game.)Tell me how that doesn't make it a sport. And FYI, not all of the tracks are circular. A few tracks are different.Watkins Glen-[IMG]Infinion-[IMG]AHR-[IMG]

And you guys still haven't answered my question. Is dirt biking a sport? Snowmobiling?</div>Dirt biking is a sport because it actually requires kinesthetic acuity to ride. You cannot ride without having good spatial awareness and so on. I think it's silly to even bring up dirt biking. Snowmobiling? I would say no, because most of the skill is coming from hand eye coordination and not physical ability. But that's just me.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (The Captain @ Feb 20 2007, 10:08 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>In NASCAR-People race to win a competitive season (MLB, NBA, NHL, NFL)People use their physical and mental abilities to win (MLB, NBA, NHL, NFL)People have to have endurance (MLB, NBA, NHL, NFL)People have to be physically and mentally tough (MLB, NBA, NHL, NFL)(And I would like to know how you could lose 50 pounds playing a video game.)Tell me how that doesn't make it a sport.</div>Those things are all true, but I would say that they are taken out of context. In my example, I said that you could lose a ton of weight (50 pounds was an exaggeration, but I could DEFINITELY lose as much as any NASCAR driver) playing a game that requires mental intensity. Just because I am locked up in a burning death box does not mean I am playing a sport. I will continue to refute your idea later.
