Can you quote something that was never said?

I'm just trying to help you. You saw my joke, and deleted it. You don't see everything, so when I see something a poster claiming to be female could be offended by, I bring it to a mods attention.

Agree but I just don't think CJ is as untouchable as some in this forum.

    *MM disappears for several months*

Everyone: I miss MM... I hope he's okay.

*MM returns and is the same MM*

Everyone: Fuckiiiiiiiiiin MM...... Quit being such a whiny victim!

The dude is the same dude that he has always been. He hasn't changed one bit in the many years that has posted here. Either accept him for who he is, or stop lamenting his absence. Just my two cents.

I absolutely don't want to tank, but looking at draftexpress, I can see the appeal. Our current draft position is #12. If we make the playoffs, our draft pick could fall as low as #15. The players I'm interested in (that are in our approximate wheelhouse) are currently #11 and #12: Miles Bridges, Justin Jackson.

Being a real life troll doesn't qualify as "marketing genius" in my book. He's definitely marketing, but he's also horrible at PR. If he was doing both at a high level, then I think it would be genius. Idk anybody that would ever buy his products. He's banking on his kids being superstars, for his products to sell in the future, and it's not likely for that to happen.

He's basically just being a real life troll, and saying "see, everyone's talking about me." This guy got his PR outline from Donald Trump.

Maybe he'll be the next president?

I don't think he'll ever sell a thing, because I don't think his kids will be superstars. So no one will ever feel compelled to buy their brand. The only chance for him to make money, is to be his kids' agent, and maybe get other athletes as well.

First, I am not as high on Fultz and Ball as most fans. I believe both players will struggle in the NBA. Not saying they will be busts, but do not believe they are franchise caliber players. They both got away with things in College to inflate their stats that will not work in the NBA.

Second, after the first two picks, it is all downhill. This draft is full of players that are not ready for the NBA, and/or have major issues with their game. Some have size issues for their position. I believe this draft is way overrated.

I would trade all of our picks. I would use them to dump big salaries while picking up less expensive ready to play players. Or make a consolidation trade for one really good all-star or near all-star player.

We need to get into a win now mode. Not development mode for a new batch of projects that might contribute someday.

The funny part is, he probably will be their agents, and they will probably lose money because of it.

Because, any good agent would probably be like "yeah, sign with Nike, you'll make X amount of money."

But with their dad, they're gonna stick with his shit brand. And they're not gonna make shit.

I heard him talking about his vision for the BBB. It's stupid. He thinks he's creating the next Jordan brand. No one in the league has their own brand lol. He's a moron.

To an extent, any publicity is good publicity. Just take myself for example. I didn't know anything about Ball until his dad started popping up on my podcasts. So i tuned in to UCLA, and just marveled at this kid's skill and poise. He got me, someone who doesn't care at all about college ball watching a game solely to see if he can play. And the kid is backing up his dad's dumbass claims as well as he can.

If he ends up being a scrub in the NBA, then all this is moot. But if he ends up being an All Star (not all the bullshit GOAT/better than Steph), then it won't matter one bit what this guy is spewing about his son. They're all gonna get paid.

It's got you watching, but I highly doubt you'll ever be buying.

His business plan is dependent on his kids being superstars, which will (in his mind) force people to buy his brand. Like you said, he's taking the bare minimum of "any publicity" that's pretty much a cop out, something that you tell your client when they fuck up. But for him, its his whole plan. His PR plan is non-existent, he thinks people dont have to like them, because they'll be so good, people will just HAVE to buy their brand.

I think he's in way over his head, and an idiot.

All the press time he's had, and all he can show for it, is "any (bad) publicity, is good publicity."

Instead of making good relationships, he's widely disliked, and people think he's a joke for saying stupid shit. I'm not sure anyone takes him serious.

Let's say Lonzo, becomes as good as Jason Kidd (not likely, in my mind).

Would people really go around buying his brand?

Especially with the idiot dad involved.

Lonzo is gonna be known for a few things, a troll for a dad, wearing his own brand, and the ugliest shot in he NBA. He better hope he's better than curry.

He would have to be on the same level as Jordan or LeBron, and the chances of that happening are HIGHLY unlikely.

We have three picks. If we combine our as 15 with Memphis at circa 20 we might even get into top 10 I think. What did Phoenix give up to acquire Kings pick last year? It wasn't much was it?

I like ball and think he is going to be great but i'd pass on him as the top pick. The baggage his dad comes with is real, every bad game every altercation and every percieved slight is going to be a media shit storm with his dad. That is all before the contract negotiation time comes, when that time comes if Lonzo hasn't earned a max or doesn't look like a Max player but a close to max you can bet your ass his dad is going to be ALL over social media creating every sort of controversy he can and saying all sort of stupid things becuase his son isn't getting offered a max.

Really all depends on how much a team likes the player when their pick comes up.

There are other point guards probably as talented as him you can get without all the burden. Fultz, Fox, Smith all supposed to be awesome. I like Dennis Smith from highlights and Fultz will be a superstar. Not sure what is Fox potential.

Smith has some serious limitations from what i've seen and read. Fultz and Ball obviously are the most talented, but Fox has the potential to be possibly the best of them all. The kid has struggled with his shot this year but it's improved as the year goes on. If he continues to improve his jumper, with his overall skillset, he will be a superstar.

I would draft him regardless of what a loud mouth his father is- talent is talent and I haven't read anything about Ball having a lack of a work ethic. Hell, maybe Dad is right and this is magic johnson with a jump shot! If so, I trade the guard that brings the biggest return and look forward to contending again. That said, I think we're making the playoffs. I missed MM's joke- going to have to search for it- always enjoy a good joke.

I was kind of thinking the opposite. Per that website you could get
17: Hartenstein or Patton, or Rabb a
    22 TJ Leaf
    27 Motley, Swanigan, Bam Adebayo,

I can't believe how deep the 2nd round is. Maybe we should trade Cleveland's for multiple 2nds. Trier, Bell, Josh Hart, Frank Mason Brooks. etc etc etc Lot of Euros too.
