Re: Great Article on Wade's Foul Drawing Nitro, you can relentlessy go to the basket, overeggate the contact, and get blessed with ALL the calls like Wade does. Wade goes to the basket really hard, and he creates contact when he goes to the basket, I am not going to deny that. But for the amount of contact that he creates, he reacts 5 times harder than necessary. He is a big flopper, the refs know that, and they do nothing about it. He is "spoon fed" by the refs and it is ridiculous. Sure, he drives to the basket alot, but on alot of the calls he gets, their is minimal contact.

I didn't say being aggresive meant he was always getting hit and deserving of those calls. Maybe I should've mentioned that before that. I wish you could understand that.</div>You didn't say a word about the refs in the other topic. Of course not all calls are going to be deserving, but you can say that about any player. But you didn't say anything like this: "He has the refs in his pockets." Then you go on to discredit him as a player (which is ridiculous considering that AI, Kobe, GA and other stars wouldn't be the same if they didn't get calls, deserving or not) and a little rant about Stern and the refs when I show you what you said in the other topic. I'm done with this, no use in arguing with you anymore. Bottom line is he is taking 11FTA's per game and leading the league in FTA's, whether you like it or not.

He does exagerate a bit, but it is along the same lines as Kobe swinging out his arm on jumpshots (ie- Ginobli black eye), AI throwing himself into defender than flying out of bounds (despite no shove or anything), T-Mac leaning into defenders on jumpshots and flopping, etc... He drives to basket relentlessly and as much as anyone else in the league, and doesn't try to avoid contact (Kobe). Taking 11FTA's isn't too shocking considering he takes 60-70 more attempts at rim than the likes of Kobe and GA, yet takes only 2 more FTA's. AI took 12FTA's last year and I didn't hear a word. Hell, I didn't hear a word until the Finals about Wade's FT's, despite taking 9-10FTA's per game the previous 2 years.

Notice how he stuck one arm out, not two. And even if you are saying that these guys flop, they obviously arent getting the calls like Wade are. Sure, he is driving the ball to the basket more than alot of people, but he gets a call everytime he goes no matter what. If he leaves the ground, and there is a person going to contest the shot, there is going to be a foul called. It almost looks predetermined.Maybe thats becasue Wade wasnt as popular before he went to the finals. Not as many people paid attention to him. Im not saying that Wade doesn't take it to the basket and get fouls sometimes, but he gets more than the normal person taking it to the rim, and I honestly think that he is favored. Im not going to change your opinion, so im not going to argue with you about it. You are just going to bring up the same points anyways....Fact of the matter is, Wade takes it to the basket alot, gets alot of calls, and overexaggerrates. Period.

In the Finals he was getting a lot of calls in which the refs whistle was already in the mouth ready to be blown the second he got hit, but he rarely gets phantom calls or calls in which there wasn't enough contact to be called a foul.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Maybe thats becasue Wade wasnt as popular before he went to the finals. You're going to get the benefit of the doubt moreso than a player like T-Mac, who is more of a jumpshooter. They look to initiate contact everytime not avoid it and make the play like a Kobe. They naturally get more calls than anyone else, and while at times the fouls are minimal or non-existent, it isn't too hard to see why they get the calls. Whether you consider this fair or not, it's true.Yes, but he also gets contact and fouled a lot as well. It isn't like he is getting phantom calls on each play, or isn't getting hit and such. RARELY do people question the foul calls he gets at the basket, but rather calls of when he is driving to the basket (aka the handchecking rules). Some players are allowed to be handchecked more than others, but it rarely translates into FTA's, which is the root of everyone's bi*ching and all these stats and such.
Re: Great Article on Wade's Foul Drawing Hold up, did someone say wade is more athletic than kobe? :HAHAHA:
