<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Nuggets guard J.R. Smith will miss three to four weeks because of a torn lateral meniscus in his left knee that will require arthroscopic surgery today.Smith was injured on a drive to the basket in the Nuggets' 95-80 loss at San Antonio on Tuesday night.Smith is Denver's third-leading scorer at 15. 4 points a game, but he is by far the Nuggets' best three-point shooter. His .393 percentage (114-for-290) from behind the arc is the best of his three-year NBA career.Meanwhile, Nuggets point guard Allen Iverson said he will continue to play despite the effects of the flu, ankle trouble, a sore right hip and a swollen left elbow. The Nuggets do not play again until Friday, when they play host to Northwest Division-leading Utah. The Jazz has an 8.5-game lead over the Nuggets in the division. Despite a .500 record, the Nuggets still would be the No. 7 seed if the Western Conference playoffs started today.</div>http://www.rockymountainnews.com/drmn/nba/...5367967,00.html[IMG]I hope we can pick it up Friday and win, I'm going to the game.

Ouch... this season has been an absolute disaster for Denver with all the suspensions and injuries. The only potential bright spot were the Iverson and Blake trades, but even those can't be truly evaluated because of everything else that has gone on. I can't wait to see what these guys could do next season when they have a full training camp together under their belts.I still think they will manage to make the playoffs, but I don't see them making much noise unless they really get it clicking down the stretch.

Jesus, Denver has nothing good going for them right now. Someone really needs to step up offensively, and I definitely think that guy is Nene. He got paid like he was an All-Star, he has the size, he has the talent. He needs to put it all together now, because the team really needs him right now. I know he has been playing better lately, but he needs to take it one step further.

Well, I really dont know what to think of this. They have been doing bad with him as of late, so maybe taking some of the offense away and focusing on other players will help...who knows at this point.

WOW again it is like Denver got stuck with some bad luck this season. Eh lolBut they did get AI so could not be that bad of luck. hahaAnd AI said he will play even though he has the flu, ankle trouble, a sore right hip and a swollen left elbow??? DAMN and that hip has got to be killing him I thought he had his rib broken for a second there.

Ouch. That truly sucks for the Nuggets. They don't have that many long range shooters now. I say they get the 7th seed - nothing higher.
