<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>RealGM -Philadelphia 76ers President Billy King announced today that the Sixers have traded forward Alan Henderson to the Utah Jazz for the rights to exchange second round draft picks in the 2007 NBA Draft. In addition the Jazz will receive cash considerations from the Sixers."This move gives us increased flexibility and provides us with additional options on draft day," said King. The Jazz are expected to waive Henderson.A 6-foot-9 forward, Henderson has averaged 7.9 points and 5.0 rebounds in 648 career games (220 starts) with four teams: Atlanta (1995-2004), Dallas (2004-05), Cleveland (2005-06) and Philadelphia (2006-07). Playing in his 12th NBA season, Henderson is averaging 3.5 points and 3.1 rebounds in 34 games (5 starts).</div>Source: http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives...n_to_utah_deal/So, yeah, not a huge deal or anything, but still pretty nice I guess. His contract wasn't bad, so it doesn't do anything but give us the right to swap second round picks with the Jazz in the draft, which I doubt will happen anyway considering our pick will be in the early second round and Utah's is a late second.EDIT: Looks like it is just a move to give us an additional roster space after the season is over since the Jazz really didn't gain anything from the trade either, aside from possibly cash.
Why in the world did Utah do this? They trade there 2nd rounder for, old Henderson? I just don't see why they would make this deal.
This might be the Mavericks guy if the Jazz do decide to release him. We sure are looking for a 3rd string center and Henderson should be pretty cheap and has played with the Mavericks very recently.

A good deal is on draft night is to deal 2 seconds for a mid-late first rounder. Henderson was one of ther vets. Utah gets a decent 3rd string big man
With the recent tread of quality role players falling into the second round this could really help the Sixers at no cost and also give them a roster spot to maybe call up a D League player or something.
You guys are confused... we did not acquire an additional second round pick from Utah. We still have four draft picks (three first rounders and one second rounder). This deal gives us the right to SWAP second rounders with the Jazz in this year's draft... meaning we would give them our pick, and we would get their pick... which would only come in handy if Utah's second rounder somehow was before ours, but that isn't going to happen.
^OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.....Haha damn I'm out of it today. Other people's posts were throwing me off haha.

LMAO you got to be f*cking kidding me we got 2 late first rounders for a future hall of famer who can still have 2-3 years of playing like the top 3-5 players in the league Yeah that was smart. And this we did not even get a 2nd rounder when we could have we just can change our 2nd with theres haha Yeah that helped when we won't get to do that due to us being worse then them why would we want to changed picks with them.Billy King has done nothing this is to funny. Only pick that will mean something is our own first and we could have kept Iverson still got Oden/Durant and then we would have our self a duo but then again Billy King was to stupid to see that.I am done with my tickets like I said until Billy King is gone I am gone after this season. I hate the day I got my season tickets bs.Good job Billy we got nothing for Henderson gave him away for free. I mean atleast get a 2nd rounder for him that be possible not asking for a first, but a 2nd is possible geez your a idiot.

There is no way in hell he would have stuck around and tanked for an entire season, especially since there is no guarantee of getting Oden/Durant. Either way, even if we somehow kept Iverson and aquired Oden or Durant, we would still be a while away from contending for the East.Trading Iverson was the best thing for both the 76ers and Iverson. We are just lucky that we probably won't be set back too much... we aren't as far away from being a playoff team in the East as people think (keywords there being in the East).

I mean if nothing has worked and you just keep losing you would think you would atleast TRY a future hall of famers idea. I mean nothing else worked. AI has the right to be mad, and he did not actually ask for trade he got mad and said if you don't wanna try my idea when nothing else has worked maybe you don't wanna win so if that is the case then trade me. He did not flat out say trade me.And umm I think he would stay around to tank for a chance at Oden/Durant even though he does not like losing maybe convince him we would have a great chance to win after that. And with Oden/Durant mostly Oden's presence inside they would be able to contend in the week East after a year they would be a good playoffs seat next year, and contender in the EAST the following year.Trading Iverson was best for Iverson, but for the Sixers for what they got I have no idea how you can say that. We better hope for Oden/Durant, or we will be stuck like this for 10 years not contending for a title I mean maybe at some point get in the playoffs, but the weak east I mean anyone can get in don't mean jack though.
