<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>LOS ANGELES -- Doug Christie, who signed a second 10-day contract with the Los Angeles Clippers earlier this month, was suspended by the team on Tuesday.Christie informed the Clippers last weekend that he no longer wanted to play for them. He was contractually bound to Los Angeles through Tuesday night's game against Phoenix, after which he can sign with another team.He averaged 2.2 points and 1.8 rebounds in six games for Los Angeles. He signed his second contract with them on Feb. 11.</div>http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2773072I kind of find this funny. I think its funny that Christie informed the Clippers that he no longer wanted to play for them. Just not one of those things you hear a player say all that often.
Man what happend to this guy? He used to be a quality player...He would be the guy who would guard the other teams best player...Now he is struggling and signing 10 day contracts? Does anyone know why he had his downfall?

Later, he played with the Kings and is remembered for his fight with Rick Fox. Now he is barely signing 10 day contracts with a team like the Clippers. This guy should just go back into retirement..no one wants him and the sooner he (and his wife) realize that, the better.

Yeah, she really is. I remember a story about how he was asked if he could only save one person from drowning and he could only save his mom or his wife who would he choose, and he chose his mother and she bitched him out and was offended and all this kind of bullsh**. Really immature.
I remember his last year he came down with an injury with the Mavs. And then decided to retire after he was healed or something like that. He was a solid 3pt shooter as well.
