Get the pen ready Joe, I'll give Biggie 4 at most, Pinhead 5 on Wednesday , and make sure the offense shows as well. According to the "experts" in spite of the offense the Yankees rotation will flounder end resulting in a .500 finish. Bring up those kid pitchers and give them a shot, there may be some surprises there. The "experts" also predict a Dodgers & Astros Series oh well. Here's an opening day irony, Giants bullpen sucks so they get Melancon for all that money. Bumgarner throws a nice game, hits two bombs, and Melancon blows his first save opportunity. On a different note glad to see the Cardinals kick Cub ass yesterday.

I'd rather see anyone pitch other than Pinhead and/or t/Fat Man...
    yep, bring in some pitching...

with either on the mound, it's a deflater to any fan, every player-

^^^^^it's like watching the same movie over and over! Did anyone say Groundhog Day? These guys are just earning salary
without helping the team. Play the youth......at least they show intensity & drive.

Even in his '09 through '12 seasons, Biggie couldn't handle Tampa or Boston. Yankees need pay his salary then ship his ass to Oakland so he can pitch in front of his Vallejo homies and dream of being the next Bartolo Colon. I remember reading articles a couple years ago that the Yankees were thinking of offering extensions to Eovaldi and Pineda. We can be damn glad that never happened. If I remember correctly Piney is in his final season, maybe Cashman can get him traded off to some team who thinks he has "potential" Time to shed the duds and hopefully get studs.

    ps: play ball...

and I can't get over not planning this season out well enough to have someone worth opening the season with, on the mound...! Sure Tank had Sunday, not a good game by his own standards; but this follow up, is like serving shit pie after a nice dinner....

I can't take that bet. If, Tank's 2 & 2/3rds disaster is the bar, then CC's in deep shit over his head. I'd guess he's done by the 3rd if he's lucky.

As for Game 1, with six consecutive years, losing game One, a Yanx record.

I hate eating shit vs TB, especially when Longoria created his own record of 4 Opening Day HR's; or some thing like that, fk the Rays...

...yup. he's got a sweet stroke at the plate...solid fielder too.

...as far as CC, it seems that he does the complete opposite of what we expect these days...when we dog him and expectations are low he seems to pitch well...and conversely, after 2-3 straight games of good pitching, he'll suddenly start sucking again. Thankfully, this is the last year we have to deal with it.

My Mothers estimated time of arrival is between 4-5 pm. She is only coming over for 15 minutes to pick up the groceries I got for her. So I will be around later to post Lineups.

That rumored trade that was not made by Yankees' GM for Jose Quintana looks to be correct........judging by his
dismal start today against the Tigers, he's given up 3 HRs in four innings. Then again one game is no measurement
how he will perform. Still, glad Cashman did not cave and squander our kids for an over valued risk.

Come on CC what kind of risk will you be tonight?

    Same lineup as opening day.

Back in '09 I saw Biggie pitch against Tampa, the Yankees had clinched so this was to be a playoff tune up. They lit Biggie like a gas can, scored about 9-10 runs in three innings. He was allegedly in prime time then, but when checking the record Biggie has not done well against Tampa or Boston. Given his current status I'd say the Yankees offense better show up tonight, a bullpen battle favors the Yanks. Another thing they need to do is stuff Longoria on his butt, shameful the way the Yankees Staff has let that guy dig in every time up.
