He's having an awesome season, and yet I don't hear much mentions about him. He's a tough man to stop when he's inside and is a good defender. He finally learned to use his big body to make it harder for defenders to box him out.

He's not a good defender, rebounder, shotblocker, passer, ball handler..etc

Hes shined in moments, but hasnt really done anything to get star recognition. I dont think Melo is underrated either...</div>Dude he is underrated still. And Melo well he is talked about more this season he was in MVP convos before the suspentions, and finally got into the all star cause of injurys. But still he should have been voted in my the coach and he should be getting more props there for I think he is underrated.

I agree 100% on a few of the guys that have been mentioned, like Joe Johnson, Carlos Boozer, Brevin Knight (who I thought of as soon as I saw this thread), Ray Felton, Caron Butler, and Mehmet Okur... and of course, my boy Deron Williams.Another guy I'd add to the list is Zach Randolph. This guy is one of the best low post scorers in the league, without question. He's a lefty with a decent 12 foot jumper. He really has a nice tough from mid-range. He's an excellent rebounder on both ends. Now, he may not be the best defender in the world, and he may have some idiotic off-court issues, but the guy is one hell of a player.Mike Miller should be mentioned as well. We all know he's a dynamite shooter, but that's not all this guy does, ok? He's not a Peja Stojakovic type of player, one that is pumping gas without his jumper. Miller is also an excellent passer and a very solid ballhandler. He can play the point forward if needed, he can be a spot-up shooter, he can run the pick n roll, etc. He's a very talented player.Last one... dun dun dun... SHANE BATTIER!!! A lot of people don't think he's that good because he'll only score 8-10 points on the average night, but the fact of the matter is that he is an excellent basketball player. He's one hell of a defensive player, who can stick with swingmen and PF's. He rebounds. He's absolutely unconscious when he's open from 3. He hustles like crazy and brings all the intangibles. He's a classy guy, a good teammate and a true winner.

I gotta go with a guy that doesn't get much attention on the boards and hasn't been mentioned yet, Josh Smith of the Hawks. Most people only recognize his name because of the dunk contest but hes averaging 15 points, 8 boards and 3 blocks per game. Hes 6'9 and averaging more blocks then Yao who is 7'6! Better yet, hes averaging more then Dwight, Chandler, Jermaine and Shaq. Hes great all around but often gets overshadowed because the Hawks are so bad or because of Joe Johnson. Exciting player to watch defensively and offensively as he can throw down a nasty dunk at any time.

I know I might sound crazy here but how about Leandro Barbosa this guy isn't a true pg but he is the 6th man on the Suns and he still averages 17 a game which is better than Raja Bell and Boris Diaw.

He isn't quick enough to get them, and people really don't drive on him anyway, because he is so big. If more people drove on him, he would rack up more blocks. More blocks than Shaq is not saying much either. Shaq is slow and only a shell of himself now.

Ben Wallace?Josh Smith BPG: 2.8Ben Wallace: 2.2Now that I made that list, is Josh Smith leading the league in blocks per game?

Michael Redd is so underrated throughout the league....it's ridiculous...he's averaging 27ppg and is the only reason the Bucks are somewhat competitive. He just scores from everywhere...inside, outside, gets to the line....Playing in Milwaukee really keeps him shadowed.

I think Erick Dampier is underrated. I hear the media talk like he is a stiff and I think he is far from that.
