Wow, what a tough lost to the Lakers. I expected Pierce to do a little better. Pierce will get his 15,000th point in the next game. POTG, didn't I tell ya I don't see Pierce scoring that much too?High54Life: How could you call POTG a "fake" Celtics fan? Why the hell would he waste his time here posting if he's such a fake. Any Celtic Fan who knows about the Celtics well would know that Gerald Green isn't the next Kobe. Green doesn't have a shot like Kobe, you don't see Green taking it to the basketball much. Your the fake Celtics fan in my eyes.
As much as I love Gerald, he won't get anywhere near Kobe's level. I don't think High54Life realizes how good Kobe actually is. As for Gerald, I really don't think he'll be a guy where he will lead a team with great all around play, and will be more of a complimentary star player. Al and Green together would be a great future to start with. A great scorer and big man. Green alone definitely wouldn't be enough because past scoring he doesn't have much more of an effect on games.

I fell asleep after the first half, and what the F*ck happened to Al? He had like 18/8 at the half, and ended with that. Was it because we were just getting trashed and Doc wanted to give Powe some mins?</div>YesDoc didn't "want" to give Powe minutes though...you actually think he'd want to give a strong player who can rebound, block shots, drive and score minutes?Al actually was getting his ankle taped up..maybe they just didn't want to risk getting an injury because the tape on his ankle unwrapped a bit and loosened up..there weren't any reports of an injury so I'm just assuming that's all it was

Green doesn't have a shot like Kobe? Are you fu*kin kidding me? Gerald not only has a shot like Kobe but he has a better shot than Kobe, trust you all will know what I'm talking about in few years, this kid is gonna be something special.
lol @ Gerald having a better shot than Kobehe'll never be better than himat best he'll be as good as Tracy McGrady..not Kobe..his game is nothing like Kobe'sKobe's one of the best scorers and defenders in the leagueGerald is neitherHe's a explosive scorer but he's way too inconsistentAnd I'm a fake fan? You wan't him to be traded from your "favorite team" And the "kid" has a bright future? You have no right to call Gerald Green a kid the way you act..you're like a 10 year old

The Lakers really needed this game, Kobe was on a mission early to not let up. The rest of the team including the bench stepped it up and was able to carry the Lakers to victory. Kobe didn't even have to play in the 4th quarter. It was also nice to see Aaron Mckie and Shammond Williams out there contributing. All I can say is..thank God. The Lakers have not lost 7 straight games in the history of the franchise and I'm glad they didn't decide to break that record.</div>They lost 8 or 9 at the end of 2005 when they finished off the season 2-19. And in 94 or 95 they lost like 10 in a row.

This game was all LA. We started off great, but that only lasted for so long. Kobe caught fire and we played very sloppy and forced things. Paul played his worst game in LA I've ever seen. He forced shots and turned the ball over. This is not the Paul Pierce I know. He looks so damn frustrated lately. I did, however, somewhat enjoy watching the kids get some extended minutes out there. I always love when Powe gets time, garbage time or not, and extended minutes for Gerald is always good as well. - Delonte had his ups and downs tonight. He was hesitating at times and his shot really wasn't falling. - Big Al played very well tonight. He took great shots, really took it to Bynum, grabbed boards, made a few solid defensive efforts. I love this kid, he brings it every night. - Gomes was very quiet tonight. Very quiet. - Scal did a solid job tonight. He knocked down the open shots that were available and he scrapped as usual. - Gerald got 13 of his 21 in the 4th quarter, aka garbage time, but who cares? Garbage time or not, Gerald's mid-range jumper was silky smooth last night. - Powe only played in garbage time, but I love when he gets in there. He really needs to play 10+ minutes a night. He works SO hard. Strength, size, defense, and rebounding... I guess Doc doesn't like those qualities. - Bassy and Rajon - not their best games. Bassy was taking good shots, I give him that, but nothing would go down. He missed 3 layups. Rondo went 0-fer and didn't necessarily bring the defense and intangibles he usually does. I expect a better game from him tonight in Salt Lake. - Perk was just kind of... there. Kobe was Kobe. Nobody can do anything about it, whether it's Gerald Green or Ron Artest. Big Al was having himself a beautiful game, but Doc rested the starters the last 15 minutes of the game. Another note though, Big Al was getting his right ankle looked at. He didn't seem like he was in much pain, and he wasn't limping, but I'm just throwing that out there as well. EDIT: High54Life... :HAHAHA: Guys, don't even waste your energy...
