Well, they didn't change NOTHING. Now Russia claims to be pissed at us and won't cooperate on ensuring safety for our planes.
That we shouldn't be starting wars in more countries. Trump inherited a hot war in Syria - thanks Obama/Clinton.
It's election year in Russia and Putin has only killed off a couple of opponents so far....there is a large contingency of people in Russia that are pissed at Putin but he is used to strong arming them. Trump is just out of his element....Putin loves this shit...he just invaded the Crimea and Ukraine so Syria is not his to bitch about.
He said their air force, not entire military and if they were used correctly they could effectively cripple the Syrian air force with 60 successful targets. Not now..element of surprise is long gone.
Video is worth watching for anyone who hasn't seen it. Gives a good overview on how the Civil war in Syria became the mess it is today.
A Saudi official gushed about "the courageous decision by Penisdent Trump." Saudi Arabia is a supporter of the rebels fighting to overthrow Assad. you know, ISIS. SUPERFRIENDS!
Now that we have seen the damage with the runway intact and pre warning you could say it was an expensive slap on the wrist. When Trump announced the intention you could tell he was making it up as he was going along. The "beautiful babies" phrase just does not fit his persona. I really think the North Koreans will get a smack down when the Chinese Presidents visits as a show of the Big Hood on the block.
Not confirmed, but hints aprox. 20 Syrian planes destroyed, along with several hangers and fueling facilities.
http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-...the-world-reacting-to-the-u-s-strike-on-syria UK, Germany, Japan, Saudi Arabia, France, Jordan, Israel, Turkey on our side. Iran, Russia, China (maybe), Assad oppose. Yet, this strange twitterverse is parroting the Putin line and it's being posted here.
60 ain't taking out their air force. If you believe the putinbots, 60 against one airport didn't do enough.
Russian TV reporting 9 Syrian planes destroyed. At least 7 people killed, and of course some where children. Oh, and happy national beer day.
Video of the bombing on this page: http://www.smh.com.au/world/us-miss...to-country-and-relations-20170407-gvgf9x.html Beirut: The Syrian army said a US missile attack on one of its airbases on Friday killed at least nine civilians, including four children, and caused extensive damage, adding it would respond by continuing its campaign to "crush terrorism" and restore peace and security to all of Syria.
