LOL, Westbrook looking for his record 42nd triple-double, but here's the best part, OKC losing to PHO 71-48 at the half. Has there ever been a more meaningless record? I hope he sets the record in a blowout loss to the worst team in the league. Pad those stats Russ! MVP! MVP! MVP!!! Right... BNM
Westbrook 4-17 with 7 TOVs, but he only needs 2 more REB and 4 more AST and he'll set the triple-double record and the fanboys will cream their shorts. BNM
Memphis clinches the 7th seed tonight to set up a date with San Antonio. Means old man Z-bo going to shut down Aldridge again. Going to enjoy watching it this time.
6-26 with 8 TOVs in a 21-point loss to the worst team in the West, but alas, no triple-double. 2 assists (or 2 TOVs) short. Take your pick. BNM
You put up THESE numbers in today's NBA....... I don't care HOW you get em or WHO it's against. You can't fake numbers. You either put em up or you don't. If they let the players vote, Westbrook would win this MVP in a landslide.
Can someone go through and see which ones are wins and losses - because at the end of the day, that's all that matters. I know the 58 point game against was a loss... I'm about 99% sure of that.

In regards to Westbrook getting triple doubles, after number 40, the thunder are 31-9 in those games. Very impressive.
I don't know what you mean by "fake," but you can certainly artificially inflate numbers, especially if your teammates are up for playing for one guy's numbers rather than victories. I mean, Portland could make Crabbe a 30 PPG scorer if they mandated that he shoot the ball every time down. He'd shoot a terrible percentage and Portland would lose every game, most likely, but Crabbe would get at least 30 points. Would that be "faking" numbers? The Thunder are blocking out to get Westbrook rebounds, they're playing a passive style of offense (from a coach who ordinarily preaches ball movement and motion offense) that requires Westbrook to either score, assist or turn the ball over on every possession. This is very much a team accomplishment--they're doing everything they can to manufacture a triple-double average for Westbrook. Granted, not every player could actually get that triple-double average, even with his team's help--there's no question that Westbrook is a very talented player. But he's not nearly as valuable as the stats imply.
I find it funny that a couple of my friends who are OKC fans were bitching about how after the deadline Gibson was stealing rebounds from Westbrick keeping him from getting a triple double. They said. "Gibson doesn't know what the Thunder are playing for this year. He needs to figure it out soon or Donovan needs to sit him".
