Right now it's pick 7, which is still awesome.Jeff Green from Georgetown, Al Horford out of Florida, maybe you could trade down a little and get Al Thorton from FSU.

I think they need an athletic big man like Thornton. They already have one in Amare and another could work well. If they got a "true center" he wouldn't do much because of how they run and a lot of their scoring comes in transition. Thornton or Horford would definitely look good next to Amare.

I like Horford a lot. Thabeet is more like a project player isn't he? I would rather not have to go through that. The Suns through their history haven't had success with those.

I'd like to see the Suns take Horford with the Hawks pick. He reminds me of a more athletic Kurt Thomas solid defense, good picks/screens and can step out and hit the mid range jumper.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if they trade it, but if they do keep it, I think Joakim Noah would fit very well. He's a big, you need bigs, he's extremely athletic, he can rebound and block shots. You guys need athletic bigs that are known for defense. I think Noah would be perfect, if he's available at 5 (who knows?).

I don't think they will trade this one unless they get a good deal but I expect the other 2 picks to not be used.

    Re: The "big pick"

I cant really seeing the Suns taking a true center with their pick. We all agree that they need some depth at the 4 and 5 positions, but I cant see them taking a player like a Roy Hibbert, Aaron Gray, or a Hasheem Thabeet. Those kind of bigs although talented, cant flourish in an up and down system like that of Phoenix. They have to take a guy like Joakim Noah, Brandon Wright, Al Hofford, or even a...gulp....Josh McRoberts. It depends on where the pick ends up. If its late in the lottery and the likes of Noah are gone, McRoberts to me at least wouldnt be a bad pick. He plays okay defense and is an athletic big guy that can play in the running Phoenix system. If its in the top 5, there is no excuse for not getting Noah or Hofford. This is how I see it.Pick 4-6-Joakim Noah, Brandon Wright, Al Hofford, 7-10-Al Thorton or trade it11-14-Josh McRoberts, Tiago Splitter

    Re: The "big pick"

I dont know if anybody else agrees with me, but I think this team needs to get a backup TRUE point guard. Nash isnt going to be around for much longer, and I dont think Barbosa is the future Suns PG. And from what I have seen out of Banks, he really isnt a true PG either. I know they lack depth at the center position, but if Noah is gone by their pick, I say they go for a good young solid point guard.

There's Acie Law IV, but he's a bit of a stretch at #7 at this point.Yall are just better off trading down and taking Ron Steele(if he comes out)

I don't know for how many years Amare will keep this up, Kurt is old and most likely gone soon, Diaw is no big man...Al Horford would just be a dream pick to me. For next year and possibly the year after I'm okay with Nash, Barbosa, Diaw and possibly an FA pick-up handling the offense, but I do agree that we need to get a future point guard. I just think it would be best to use the Cavaliers pick if we are going to get a point guard at all because I'd really like to see this team draft one of the big men. It'll be strange if Nash moves on and the Suns still don't have someone though because this team has always had a great point guard. I hope they draft a point guard using another pick in the next couple years...I really don't want to hear D'Antoni continue to talk about Barbosa being the point guard of the future. He's just a scorer who can pass a little and get some steals. I don't want to see him running the offense as a starter.

    Re: The "big pick"

Atlanta's pick 4-6: Al Horford: He is a better rebounder and much better post defender then Noah and can also hit the mid range jumper which is something that Noah struggles with and D'Antoni has a history of benching players who can make those shots.7-10: Jeff Green: He is a perfect fit for the Suns system. He excels in transition, can play or guard multiple positions, good rebounder, great finisher around the rim and has 3 point range. Then the Suns could put together some package using cleveland's pick and their own to move up into the mid/late teens where there will be several options (Tiago Splitter, Corey Brewer, Marco Belinelli, Acid Law, Alando Tucker, Thaddeus Young .....)The Suns need to have at least 2 picks in this year's draft in order to improve the bench w/o straining the payroll (see passing up on Marcus Williams only to sign Banks to a much larger deal).

    Re: The "big pick"

It didn't hurt the payroll to sign Banks because we got money for 2 picks and one of them was for Grant's big sized contract which was good to get rid of. Rondo would've been a nice pick though. [IMG] I hope the Suns use 2 picks and D'Antoni doesn't show his GM dumbness.
