<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>"I think Dwyane Wade is the best player in the NBA. I know most people will say it's Kobe Bryant. I think it's Dwyane Wade. He led a team to a championship last year against a more talented Dallas team, physically talented. The Miami Heat were pinning their chances to repeat on Shaq coming back, teaming with Dwyane Wade. Now Wade played all year, another one of these guys that played all year, played in the World Championships, had been susceptible to some injuries, missed a few games. To me, this is just a freak injury, and it just lessens the stretch run of the basketball season not to have Dwyane Wade."</div>Speaking a little highly of the guy, eh? Wade's a great player and all, but best in the NBA? Come on now.
I'm a heat fan and even though Wade is a great player and he's in the top 10 IMO. I still think Kobe is the best player in the NBA, Kobe is unbelievable.
From what I heard of Wilbon on NBA broadcasts, I could care less what his opinion on this sport is. I definately don't see eye to eye with his opinions.

He can defend his opinion to the death. But the fact is, is that there are quite a few players in the NBA today that are better than Dwyane Wade. Makes me wonder if he's ever seen Kobe, Dirk, Duncan, etc, play basketball at all. Wade's a good slasher, and a pretty damn good leader, but does he really have the effect on a game that those other guys have? Obviously it might look like it, but he's "the man" for the Heat, they really have no one else to go to. When all else fails, drive the rim with Wade, he'll get the call every time.

I think Kobe by far is the best player in the NBA and Duncan obviously in the top 5 probably number 2. I'm just saying we can't get on Wilbon for his opinion even though he really diden't defend it all in depth, but I really don't think Wilbon knows basketball all that good or at least NBA basketball so don't really put any stock in what he says.
Mike Wilbon obviously doesn't watch very much basketball. But whatever, he can think whatever he wants....everyone ELSE knows that Kobe is the best player in the league.
WHAT?!?!Dwyane Wade is an amazing player, and one of my favorites out there, but Kobe Bryant is for sure the best player in the NBA, he can hit any shot anywhere on the court, he can dunk on you if you come up on him, and if u back up, he will nail it right in your face, hell, 3 faces! It doesn't matter, he is just that damn good, and I don't know enough words to explain it. Now, on to Wade 'leading' his team threw the finals. I honestly think Dallas should of won, and I want to know how many damn free throws Wade avg in the finals? I also would like to point out that he had Shaq on his team, and Wade had yet to prove he could bring his team ABOVE 500. So how in the world is he the best in the NBA? Jeez oh man.

He doesn't really know what he's talking about, but in the PTI setting, it's hard for him to defend many points at all. I'm sure the guy has some pretty damn good reasons for saying that.
I like Wade's game personally better than Kobe's, but I don't think he's the BEST in the game. I'm not sure how you can say it, but if I were drafting a team today, I'd take Wade over Kobe.

Compare someone to Kobe and they go A-Wall (not necassarily singling you out, but in general). There are MANY intelligent people that watch the NBA that don't believe Kobe is the best player in the league, and it shouldn't be so shocking if someone believes that.As for me, I can see how someone says Wade is the best player in the NBA. He is a great, efficient scorer, very underrated playmaker, good rebounder, GREAT help defender, and behind Kobe is the most clutch player in the NBA. He already has a ring on his finger, and in those Finals had one of the greatest performances I have seen. He is a fairly quiet player, and you never hear his teammates questioning him or his attitude. Do I agree he is the best player in the league? No, I'd put Kobe ahead of him, and Duncan right with him. But I can definately see how someone would say he is the best player in the league.
Personally, I think DWade is the 2nd best player in the League. I think he is ahead of Lebron...He actually plays defense, I think he is the better passer, he doesn't take bad shots, he scores a bit more, and to top it off; he has won an NBA championship.

Wade may have a ring, but just look at his team when he did win a ring. And then look at what James had and he still almost got past the best team in the NBA, alone. For me, it's not a tough call because watching James 82 games a season, makes me just say LeBron. James may take some bad jumpers, but he is a much better driver then Wade. Sure Wade is a great slasher, one of the best in the game. You could also say James is terrible at the free throw line, but unlike Wade, he doesn't spend the whole game there. There are gonna be people say that Wade is better then LeBron, and I respect that, but I just hope you guys can respect my pick to James.
Well if we went on who has the better +/- than it is clearly Wade. 82games.com tells the whole story. Wade +17.3 and Kobe +11.2. The lakers actually won some games without Kobe. The same can't be said about Miami without Wade. Dirk though is in the lead with +18.3. There is your MVP right there.
