Wade is a great player but he is not on the level of a Kobe Bryant just yet, I think he can be as good as Kobe though as his career goes on.

If you want my opinion on the matter, I felt you based your argument on MVP, instead of overall player which Kobe is over Dirk. MVP is a different matter. And don't say you got responses like you're an idiot, did you happen to glance at some of the posters who disagreed. Some pretty good ones on this site. I'm sorry your thread wasn't pro mavsfan opinion and you felt you were flamed.

If my team's best player was Vince Carter right now and I had a better team than one with MJ in his prime I wouldn't be jealous.
If the Lakers actually did something without Shaq I would think Kobe would be worthy of his praise. Without Shaq though Kobe hasn't done any more than T-Mac. You can't argue with 47-9. Kobe might be more versatile than Dirk but the things I mentioned in that thread are why I think Dirk is better. All the shooting numbers favor Dirk and almost 10 rebounds a game on one of the top rebounding teams in the league is impressive no matter what Nitro says. If we went by who can score in more different ways than yeah Kobe gets the edge but Dirk scores in a more efficient way with few players that can take Dirk out of his game.
You are missing the entire point! The Dallas Mavericks are a Better team. Period. If Kobe had a team like Dirk has then maybe we could then judge them by record. Besides that, the Lakers have been plagued by injury this year more than ever. Of course Dirk rebounds more...he is a 7 footer! Kobe is the best player in the league, better than Dirk..if your narrowmind cannot see that because you judge Kobe by his team play...then I don't know what to say. What kind of idiot is going to come out and say oh..uh...Dirk is better because the Mavs are 47-9 uh uh..no sh*t. The Dallas Mavericks (as I stated before) are a better team with more production off the bench and from the team in general. I'm not denying Dirk as a good player...in fact I think he is in the top 3 for MVP but my point is as a player Kobe is the more skilled,clutch,better defender..I can go on.
So you are holding being 7 foot against Dirk? I always thought of that as a big advantage. Dirk was plenty clutch last year. He did it in 3 out of 4 series. Unfortunately he didn't finish in the finals. Kobe didn't exactly finish against the Pistons either as the Pistons beat the lakers in 5 games. I am not being narrow minded. I see why you think so high of Kobe but as you said there is no way to show who is better because the teams are so different. Just look at the +/- of 82games.com of which team is suffering more overall when both players are out. That's the closest thing to actual proof who is more valuable.
Yeah, but I'm not arguing who the more valubable player is here. I thought we were arguing who was the better player as an individual. I do think Kobe is valuable but regardless that's why I was ruling out team success because we were arguing who the better player was.

But what I mean is, James takes terrible shots every night now, sure Brown says this and that, but he does NOTHING ELSE! I could tell James to drive, does that mean he is gonna drive? Hell no, he might do here and there, but he is playing his game out there, and Mike Brown is to much of a pussy to f*cking get in his face. I see Manu getting bench from f*cking doing something small, like play a few bad defensive plays. James takes jumpers when we need a score the most, the guy acts like Kobe Bryant, when he isn't. Cleveland needs a coach that can, actually coach. Think there is a reason Hughes and James hasn't worked like everyone thought? Well, maybe if we had a coach that knows something, and knows how to get in these teams minds, and teach them, and the players respect the coach, witch we don't have at all.
