This is not going to be pretty. But Stotts is pulling a nice Pops, and I'll take that any time.

Not sure about existing contracts, but if eligible, I see both those guys staying as the 16th and 17th roster spots (G league.)

It's entirely possible they each have pain in those respective areas. In such case, rest 'em up!

What I probably should have said is that there is no reason for them to play from the pov of getting future players game experience. I didn't think about the fact that we'll only have 9 healthy bodies. Our 3rd stringers are pretty bad.

My theory has always been that most all NBA players play hurt, at least to some extent.

I think it is fair to say that either the coach or the front office (or both) like Pat a lot more then most of us posters. He has been in the rotation a lot this year (essentially whenever someone is hurt). I can certainly see Quarterman gone next year but they seem committed to developing Project Pat at this point from all indications.

We could have easily started Turner over Pat so if he is indeed starting, I think that says something.

    Tonight's lineup

    Napier/Quarterman/Turner
    Connaughton/Turner
    Harkless/Layman/Turner
    Aminu/harkless/Layman
    Vonleh/Butters

If Turner started we'd have Tim, Pat, Jake, and Butters off the bench sheesh

Turner is better suited off the bench imo... Will give you that!

Believe it or not, I wasn't denigrating either of them. My comments were based on....

    1) We'll be way over the luxury tax next year, unless Neil does something drastic (which I hope he will).
    2) We have 3 draft picks this offseason.
    3) TQ and PC are not guaranteed next year.

That's why I see them as gone. It may come down to something like give Bam Adebayo a spot on the roster or give Pat one. Even if they like Pat, he'd be gone.
