Meyers gives thoughtful answers in this interview that make me think he is making important progress. His defense and screens are improving as several have noted, and shooting just gets better when he relaxes and goes for it.

Let's look for Meyers to shoot a lot (12 or more shots) in the last 2 schedule games where he can develop momentum for the playoffs. It is about winning in the playoffs, rather than trade value. I see continued excellent play by Meyers continuing.

This is what I would like to see in each of the remaining 2 games:
    • 10-15 post ups for Vonleh
    • 5-7 post ups for Meyers and 3-5 shots from '3'
    • 10 shots off of screens or kick outs for Layman
    • Harkless playing some point-forward
    • Quarterman playing 15 mpg at PG and Napier getting 15 as well

You can't get much from a short interview but it sounds like he is trying to learn from film and not from a coach. I don't get the impression he is getting much coaching. For example, I have noticed lately that he hands off to either CJ or Lillard who dribble into the corner and then get stopped. Leonard is set up on the three point line, but the guy guarding him gets right in his face so it's not possible to pass to him. There is a big open space between Leonard and the basket and a clear passing lane between him and the guard, and he never dives to the basket. I think he is capable of catching the ball and going strong to the basket, so why isn't he being encouraged to do it?

Just because he's not doing it doesn't mean he's not being encouraged to. He's a deer in the fucking headlights.
