Yeah. Every morning I get the newspaper and read the box-scores from the previous nights and it always seems Tyson Chandler is getting 15 rebounds or more every night. The guy is just tearing up the stat sheets in rebounds. His 7'1" frame and excellent athletiscm is what makes him such a great rebounder. His offense on the other hand...

I have always known that Tyson was capable of rebounding this well. Last year in Chicago, he would sometimes have 8-10 rebounds at half, and then not play that much in the 2nd half at all and end up with like 12 rebounds. Now that he is getting more playing time, his rebounding numbers are going way up. I have been very impressed with him so far this year.

I had a good feeling he would be able to turn into that great bigman he was always expected to be after a change in scenery. The guy is huge/long while still very athletic, he just hadn't been able to put it all together until now. I was dying for the Heat to trade for him this off season while he was cheap and the Bulls were shopping him and start our rebuilding process early, but that obviously didn't happen. Anyways, he should be a great center for the Hornets for many years to come. He may not score much, but he does all the things you want out of your bigman...play D, block, and most of all rebound.

He has around $50 million left on his deal, thats why the Bulls traded him. I have not watched Chandler in a long time, I know he can rebound/block but does he play man defense or just pad the numbers like Danny Fortson did?

Tysons' playing amazing and he's not slowing down at all as of late, hopefully this leads to some more wins for the hornets down the road.

Whats even more amazing is that he'll get 4-5 offensive rebounds a game. Obviously leading the league

I meant to make a thread about this exact same topic a few days ago. He has been playing great and is making his $55 contract somewhat warranted. Some impressive stats on Chandler....Ranks #2 in the NBA in Rebounds Per Game(12.6) Ranks #1 in the NBA in Field-Goal Percentage(0.623) Ranks #1 in the NBA in Offensive Rebounds(260.0) Ranks #1 in the NBA in Offensive Rebounds Per Game(4.4) Ranks #3 in the NBA in Defensive Rebounds(485.0) Ranks #3 in the NBA in Total Rebounds(745.0) Ranks #5 in the NBA in Defensive Rebounds Per Game(8.2) He also has 26 double-doubles.

Ive always known what Chandler can do, but he has never got a chance. If you ask me, he just needed a little bit of pressure to instill the role he had to play as a big man. He has vastly imrpoved his offensive game since he came to into the NBA.

I love tyson! He is on all of my fantasy teams, and I got him cheap too because nobody wanted him in the beginning.

It's probably due to the fact that he's the only true center on the Hornets roster. Also, some guys just need a change of scenery to get back their game going. Jermaine O'Neal was horrible when he was on Portland, he goes to Indy and becomes a superstar.

Good, it's about time a bigman started rebounding like a man!
