Re: Amare on Fiyah! IIRC, his career high was that 50 point game against the Blazers two seasons ago. He has been great on both sides of the ball this afternoon/night. At halftime his statline is: 8/13FG 11/12FT 9 rebounds 2 assists and 27 points. He is carrying the team with Nash still struggling to get his shots in after the injury. I think a career high is a possibility. Since it's not a blow-out right now he should play at least 15 minutes of the rest of the game. With the way he's played so far I think he can pull it off.
Re: Amare on Fiyah! Man, alot of people are saying that he has lost a step, but I really dont see it. He gets out in the open floor and runs, he can shoot the mid range, he can fly up and throw it down, and he has shown to be a pretty damn good rebounder as well. I have been really impressed with him as of late. He had a great game agaisnt the Spurs, and I watched him play a little bit earlier today in the first half of the Hawks game. If he is playing good, and Nash is healthy, this team is going to be very tough to beat (unless you are Dallas).
Re: Amare on Fiyah! Wow! What a great dunk. Josh Smith got a couple blocks on Amare so far today, but Amare got him back with that posterization. Comparable to some of his best dunks pre-injury. Then Josh Smith with the spectacular fast break dunk and Nash with a very fancy, hard-to-explain, and1.
Re: Amare on Fiyah! Holy smokes! Sportscenter could probably do their entire top 10 using plays from just this game. Amare with a pretty cool over the head, off the backboard shot and Marvin Williams over the backboard at the buzzer(even thought it didn't count). Also great was Barbosa' block on Barbosa. Amare is at 35 points right now though so not looking good for a career high, but he will get a career high in free throws.
Re: Amare on Fiyah! He won't get a career highHe has 39 right now and I think the ball will be placed in Nash's hands
Re: Amare on Fiyah! Damn, no career high but his best game of the season. He shot over 50%, 15-17 on FT's, 16 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 blocks, only 1 turnover and 43 points. He still has a little bit to go because he's still getting more of his shots blocked than I remember...hopefully he does get those few inches back, but even if he doesn't he is still a better overall player than before. Good to see him show off his good passing game tonight. It was a very impressive game.
Re: Amare on Fiyah! This topic is more suitable for the Suns forum. It's worse he didn't even achieve his career high.
