I personally think he would have played in Games 3 & 4 during the series... if we won Game 1 or 2. I think now he probably doesn't play; why risk anything when the Warriors are doing this to us?
I think he could play, but he'll only play if he's 100% recovered since the team is in insurmountable (t0 this team) hole. My guess is that he doesn't play.
i dont think he will and i dont think he should. take this series as an L and move to the offseason where the blazers can decide who they are going to dump meyers leonard on.
One thing I havent seen mentioned, is what if we can get a better look at the team needs if we play him at least a little. We need the evaluation of the team's needs with him playing. Sure would help to see the kind of player/players we need with him in the lineup against GS. Sure we have had him in other games before seasons end, but not with GS. Thoughts?
I was thinking as I was watching last nights game, that the best long term strategy for the Blazers right now might be to NOT play Nurk in this series, and simply use the series to get playoff playing experience and evaluation time for the rest of the roster, from Harkless on down. In addition to getting them playoff experience, and an opportunity to evaluate the players themselves, there is the opportunity to highlight the things that each player needs to work on during the off season. Maybe throw them all out there as a developmental series and call it good. I have to say, such a longer term strategy wouldn't break my heart.
I'd rather they let him recover completely and totally and then see how he looks with everyone next season. They can then start addressing needs at the trade deadline.
Save Nurk for next year and let them win their trophy and build their egos, then come at them full force next year and curb stomp them? Hmm...that may very well be what happens. The only problem is I want to see the Warriors get stomped now. There is no less deserving team then them to win the trophy. Fuck them. Fuck them all
If he did the effectiveness of McGee and Green would be great effected. And, I hope Durant is back because Thompson and Curry get less shots, especially Thompson. As we saw last night it was the Curry/Thompson show with McGee destroying us inside. It would interesting to see what difference Nurk makes. He made us instantly better against every other team we played after we traded for him, why not the Warriors
Yeah, I'm no longer optimistic. At this point they will likely stick with that time table which means he wouldn't return until game 6, which we likely won't make it to without him.
I think he should play and would explain my reasoning. If we somehow win game 3 without him it makes it more likely he would play game 4, right? Then he should play game 3 as well
