I think anyone would take this iteration Girardi considering how different he is playing now compared to the last 2 seasons.

Im still stoked and the game ended 40 minutes ago..!

Nashville might just be the team to beat in the West now..i don't think Anaheim or SJ are on their level. I'd really like to see STL if it's not us.

Messiah, what are you brain dead. He is a moderator who I have talked to on a personal level many times. Geez no wonder why I don't post on Ranger's boards that often. :smiley-whatever:

I just can't believe that Chicago only managed three goals in four games on their way to getting swept out of the playoffs. Nashville and St. Louis will be a good series if and when they finish off Minnesota.

The Habs cheap shots are definitely getting into some heads, when JT is more worried about retaliating than playing the puck clowns like Ott & King win. I've watched several games from other series and only Calgary/Anaheim rivals this one for the refs "letting them play". Another spectacular game by Hank. Buch also looked good tonight. CK is playing like the Habs are holding one of his family members hostage, hope the fortunate assist snaps him out of the fog. Girardi has been good but Hank's the reason they're closing it out in 6.

I agree with you about the negativity Lillie but to each their own on a message board. Rangers followers are always full of criticism instead of the fan's optimism. The Rangers are clearly the superior team in this series, if not for the game 2 slipup they're done and waiting. Montreal has 2 lines and it's only been the full out cheap shot attack that's kept them in the series.

While you can't and shouldn't take silly penalties I thought the Rangers responded with some hits and toughness of their own in this game. Montreal seemed a little taken aback by the Rangers going back at them. The Rangers have it right in their hands to close this thing out on Saturday Night. Montreal holds no advantage over them at this point.

Like I said. The single biggest reason this team hasn't been eliminated yet is because Girardi somehow is playing like a top 4 defenseman again. Nobody on this earth expected that. Skjei is just a beast. That's not a shock. Hopefully some tools on this board will finally get of Fast's case.

Fast has always been a good playoff performer when he is used correctly.

The radio call of the game winner was classic. Dave Maloney with the little scream.

Thata boy, Dave! Dave Maloney has been bleeding Blue for so many f'kin years. Why not scream when the
Blueshirts win! That's is what I was doing when Zinny scrored that crusher. One more to go
    in this series.

Let me say this..................Fast and Lindberg have made this a stronger Ranger team. Their play has been forceful, never stop checking, and push toward opponents' net. These two should be mainstays in the Ranger lineup. They give the Rangers depth. Dare management to let either one go.

I'm not sure why they're calling it a setup from Kreider, as it seemed to me he was trying to shoot and got a fortunate deflection. We can thank Emelin a little on that one.
Management can't really prevent anything with Lindberg or Fast since they have to be exposed. I still think Raanta or Grabner will be the one taken. Klein? I think you have a better chance of getting hit by lightning than him going.

Shaw out for Montreal tonight. That is a loss for them and leaves Gallagher as their big PITA. Not a HUGE loss, but a loss for sure. Shaw was on their 1st line with Pac and Radulov for 2 or 3 games in this series.

And I write again...END THIS TONIGHT. The Rangers are a good road team, but I want no part of playing a game 7 back up there in that building. One game doesn't change the fact that I am still very uneasy about the Rangers play at MSG in the playoffs, so I am still feeling unsure about tonight. Need the crowd to be electric and the players to feed on that from the drop of the puck.

    END THIS TONIGHT!!!

    Montreal lines for game 6:

    Pacioretty - Danault - Radulov
    Lehkonen - Plekanec - Gallagher
    Galchenyuk - Flynn - Byron
    King-Ott-McCarron

If we are being real, when you look at our team and our lines we are clearly the better team. That 4th line has some grit, but is not much of a threat. The 2nd and 3rd lines have a couple of nice guys, but nothing that scares you and makes you say wow those are 6 dynamic players. I would say 3 or 4 of the 2nd and 3rd lines are legit. And the 1st line is good with Pac and Radulov, but again I don't say wow that is scary.

We really should take care of business tonight. We are the better and way deeper team, at home, with MO, going for a series clinching win.
