He's vastly overrated.Does he provide energy? Yes. Is he an ***hole? Yes. I don't LOVE his attitude or personality, sometimes I don't think it's enough for the team. And honestly, he isnt' that great. WIth Crawford out now, he obviously will get more time, but he's so overrated. He's quick, obviously, and can JUMP, but other than that he really isnt impressive. I'm not too impressed with his defense, or with his passing. He takes way too many shots and when they arent going in he doesn't realize when to stop. Now, it probably sounds like he's the worst player in the league. He still does some things GOOD, don't get me wrong, and his energy is great, but he is no upgrade over Marbury, or probaby even Francis, Crawford, Q-Rich, and MAYBE even Collins.
nate is not overrated. try playing in the nba at 5'7". the guy can score like iverson. that may be a stretch but he can score and attack and shoot well from the outside. Yeah he's a punk but at least he's not a pussy.

He has a bit more range than AI. AI is better though at finishing. Nate is like a very poor man's AI

Has Nate been progressing as a point guard? I remember the last time I was watching him play he pretty much had no clue what he was doing at the point guard position, kind of like our boy Sebastian Telfair.

Yeah, he's not 5'9". It's def boosted. Like Iverson is listed at 6' by probably is more or so around 5'10

He can guard PG on the other end though with his quickness. But most of the time when he is in, Jamal Crawford or Stephon Marbury are bring the ball up the court.
I hope we get rid of Nate. He is an undersized SG who likes to free-lance and play out of the system. He is not good enough to do that. His shot selection is worse than JC's and he's an idiot. His only purpose on this team is to provide a spark when we are getting blown out by 20 in the 1st half. I'd like to see his minutes go to Mardy and Steve.
now im not saying nate should get as many mins as francis or lee, but def more then collins, imo collins one of the worst players at his position, he can barely hit rim on his free throws, barely make a shot, im sitll wounder why he isn't in the d league. but I digress, I believe the art of providing a spark for a team is being underrated here, as a knick fan, I appreciate nate providing some sort of spark for the team because in majority of games, the ones we win and lose, the knicks are down late and make comebacks through sparks started by most of the time role players like nate, lee, and crawford, and yes nate is not as talented or skilled as the other two, but hes just as valuable because he contributes the best way he can which is providing a spark, his "never quit" attitude rubs off on his teammates when hes in the game, makes them more determined to make the comeback, the knicks are well known to do this season, and idk why people look at him like a cancer, before the brawl in new york and detroit, the nba used to have fights like that all the time, but I dont see anyone calling barkley a pussy, or camby a punk, but everyone gives nate an unfair rap because he didnt swing at melo, who had 2 teammates beside him at the time, and deem him the cancer of the knicks, when he won the dunk contest last year, I don't remember cries for him to be removed then, or when he hit the game winner against philly, was that a bad shot, or everytime he draws a charge hes doing that for himself right. I doubt anyone who's dissing nate has been to or watched a knicks game, or have opinions besides the ones they read or watch on espn or other sports sources, or people who never watch games at all and just keep track of fantasy stats. or think that greg oden is going to be the next big thing just like how sam bowie, kwame brown, and darko were supposed to be

Nate can't play when we are in the game, or in the lead. He fucks everything up with his antics. Like alot of the Knicks, he has no basketball IQ. Mardy Collins is in this league becuase he knows how to play basketball. He will be a great point guard in the league in a few years. He can and does play defense, unlike that Robinson kid. He plays smart basketball, doesn't turn it over, can rebound, and spreads the ball around well at the PG position. Isiah Thomas has lost complete faith in Nate. He barely gets off the bench these days because he doesn't play within the system. He completely ignores his coach and does his own thing when he's in the game, ussually leading to a turnover, or a missed shot.
