Who are your tournament sleepers? Who are teams that people don't expect to do anything but will surprise everybody and do amazing? Maybe final four?Mine are Washington State, Texas A&M and Virginia Tech

Okay, I'll be the 1st here to say that Texas will suprise some in the Tourney. I think Durant and Augustin will take this team to the Elite 8. I know there are plently of doubter this year. They are thinking how is a team of freshman going to make noise come March? I think they have like 1 senior on the whole squad with a couple of sophmores and a couple of juniors. The rest are fish. Mark my words. :happy0144: I Hope. :dunno:

^^ I don't really think Texas is a sleeper..everybody thinks they're gonna do good because of Durant...and most people that follow college bball know that even though they're young they have a chance to go deep into the tournament because of guys like Augustin, James, AbramsI wouldn't call them sleepers as they've garnered a lot of national attention unlike teams like Washington State

Texas is more of a sleeper pick than Texas A&M like you said, who is ranked 7th. However, I am picking A&M to make the Final 4.

But as far as my sleepers? I have be be biased - Georgetown could really make some noise this year. I don't know about a Final 4 appearance, but don't be surprised if they get there. They have two college stars, a well-rounded team, solid guard play, size, and some very solid defense. Watch out for my Hoyas! Also, I know they are in the top 10 now (wooo hoo!!!), so they may not even classify as a real sleeper, but I do think they will make noise.

Also, watch out for Louisville! I think they could raise some eyebrows.

Texas is definitley more a of a sleeper than TAMU. And Texas is one of my sleepers too. So much talent, and especially with a gamer like Durant, who knows how big he's going to explode. How about Virgina? Reynolds and Singletary are one of the best back courts I've seen. Diane and Cain are pretty decent bangers, and if Joseph gets hot watch out. I could definitley see them pulling an upset. Arizona, Boston College, MSU, Southern Cal, etc.

I'm just going to name a few, I gotta leave soon.TAMU (Final 4 I'm saying so it is kind of a sleeper), Butler, Georgetown, and Texas Tech. I'll name more later that could be one.

LOL None of these teams are sleepers. Teams who get 4+ rankings aren't sleepers. Now finding a George Mason of this year is a sleeper.

George Mason was a cinderella team.Get your NCAA tourney terminology right jeez. [IMG] [IMG]

I'm gonna go with USC. I've watched them a few times this year, and I've been very impressed with what I've seen. Nick Young is one of the most underrated college basketball players in the country imo and they have a great defensive team. I think this team could really suprise people and get to the Elite 8.

I mean, from the start of the year everybody on ESPN and every where else has been calling them a sleeper team. A sleeper must be a team that is under the radar and Butler has gotten so much attention for being the team that could be "under the radar" that they aren't under it anymore. I think whoever they end up playing would be ready for them. I mean, you know what I am saying? I just don't consider them a sleeper. From the Big Ten, I think I am going to go with Michgan or MSU if they are able to get in. I don't think Michigan has the offensive talent to get far, but they have some heart, and they have a pretty solid defense with some great blockers.

Maybe ORU...They beat Kansas in regular season. As long as they dont get stuck with a #1 seed, its possible. Great team

If no one is picking TAMU or Butler, then they aren't college basketball fans.

A sleeper team I am seeing, that should be a lock to make the tournament in my eyes, now that they have made the Semi's in the SEC tournament, is Ole Miss. They have a squad, should all be healthy, that I think will be a load to deal with. They have as lethal of a scoring 1-2 punch as there is in Bam Doyne, and Clarence Sanders from the outside. Ole Miss also has a big man in the middle in Dwayne Curtis that when healthy is a huge problem. He will be a load for any other center in the nation to deal with at about 6'8, 6'9 and about 280 or so in size. Add to that Kenny Williams provides all kinds of energy from that four spot, and Abernethy is a nice compliment to round out the starters. Their depth is their one draw back though, as their only two real good bench players are Parnell and Polyniece. I wouldn't be shocked to see this team make a decent little run in the tournament.

They could be a #2 seed that nobody is picking to go far and win it all. I would consider that a sleeper team.

Yeah, I get what Camby is saying, for example, Memphis isnt a sleeper, but if they won the championship, they would be a Cinderella Team.
