Blake Griffin going down again in the playoffs is a brutal blow. He's easily a max player if he stays healthy, but he never is. Going into FA this summer. I'd be wary of us going after him since he's Neil's guy-- glad we don't have any caproom.
http://www.espn.com/blog/golden-state-warriors/post/_/id/4424/draymond-greens-trash-talking-antics PORTLAND, Ore. -- Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green is establishing himself as arguably the best trash-talker in the NBA. “I absolutely love it,” Green told ESPN after the Warriors overcame a 17-point deficit to defeat the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday 119-113 and take a commanding 3-0 series lead. “I’ve been doing this for a very long time. There’s an art to trash-talking.” Green finished the evening with an impressive stat line of nine points, eight rebounds, seven assists, two steals and a game-high six blocks, but his verbal psychological edge was just as effective. Maurice Harkless has been on the receiving end of the two-time All-Star’s verbal taunts this series, and it appears to be working. Green does his homework. Harkless obtained a $500,000 bonus for shooting 35 percent or higher from 3-point distance this season. How he earned the extra cash made headlines. With four games remaining in the regular season, he was stuck at 35.1 percent. He cleverly didn’t attempt a 3-pointer in the final three games he played, securing the bonus. Knowing this factoid, Green used it to his advantage. At one point during Game 2, while he was guarding Harkless along the perimeter, Green baited his opponent to hoist a 3. “You ain’t gonna shoot it. You’re still chasing that petty-ass change,” Green yelled to Harkless, sources told ESPN.
If he were on any other team, he'd lead the league in fouls, flagrant fouls, and technicals... he'd probably have been drummed out of the league as uncoachable.
It still blows my mind that he was able to smack an official in the series against us last year, the official started bleeding, and he got nothing. Not a technical, not a fine..... nothing.
Petty ass change...such a phony! He got all bent out of shape when Barnes didn't sign a contract extension from the Warriors at the beginning of last season because he knew he could get a higher contract, which he did (64 mil became 94 mil). Green got all pissy with him and gave him crap for not signing. Green was jealous of the money Barnes was gonna get.
First off, "threw" is hyperbole, second off, it was West who fouled him, and third off he was just tossing it behind him, generally in the ref's direction.
West got in the way of the toss, the very gentle light toss that a baby wouldn't have been hurt by, that was clearly going back to the ref.
It never ceases to amaze me how much you will bitch about. Calling that a smack and hyping it up with bleeding when it was just a swinging arm at the end of a play and little more than a high five...grow up.
hahahaahahahahahhahahhahahahahahaha Seriously though, they had to stop the game..... because the ref was bleeding...... from the "high five" lol
Rofl is this guy defending Green hitting the ref? That punk did it on purpose... Look how close he gets to him before he swings his hand.
Plus if it were an accident why didn't he turn around to see if Ken Mauer was alright after he realized that he had made contact with him?
Regardless of whether it was an accident, he was throwing a tantrum. 99% of the time if you hit a ref during a tantrum that's a tech and possibly an ejection. It's not like he accidentally fell into him while chasing a ball. As BC said, ET got a tech for tossing the ball backwards after HE was fouled.
