However, the higher seed we get the better, seeing as we could start by playing worse teams rather then Detroit in the first round or Cleveland.
^ I agree, but it would be pretty nice to wipe Detroit out in the first round (with a healthy Wade of course), not sure I'd want to take the chances though. Either way I wouldn't call it Shaq leading us to the playoffs, seeing as we're already in and like HF32 said it's not much of a challenge considering how weak the East is anyway.
hahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahazhahhahahahahah so funnyEDIT:that mean in my humble opinion.....NO!!
I think Shaq can carry the load as long as the rest of the Heat players step up and help out. Shaq's been playing pretty good basketball ever since he returned from his injury. They'll definitely miss Wade but I think the big man can try and score 15-20+ points a night.

Shaq has been a complete monster is showing tremendous leadership.
At first I thought he couldnt do it. I thought he was starting to severely decline. But now, Mutombo must be sharing what he is taking to Shaq. He's starting to look like the Shaq 7-10 years ago. I think he will be able to hold down the fort well until Wade comes back. They they could really make some noise in the playoffs.
People don't understand Shaq knows when to turn it on...the whole team in fact was coasting while Wade was healthy and playing. Now that he's gone, everyone else is finally waking up and I think this injury may in fact end up as a benefit. If we can continue playling like we are, once Wade comes back he may not be 100%, but he will be rested and theres no telling how far we can go at that point.Anyways, like I said, I knew there was no way this team would crumble just like that. Too good a group of veteran players and one of the best coaching staffs in the league...Shaq wasn't gonna let it happen and neither was anyone else.BTW- God bless the Memphis Grizzlies for waiving Eddie Jones. He's been such a huge help to this team in so many ways and is now looking like he may have a starting spot locked up the rest of the season.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Dmoney @ Mar 13 2007, 09:09 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>We owe the grizzlies a gift or something.</div>Yeah seriously EJ has been amazing since he has come back to Miami, I dont think we would be doing half as good w/o Wade if Jones hadnt come back...he is looking like the old Eddie Jones who used to lead the Heat in scoring
Him and Chris Webber are doing great jobs on there new teams(Or in Eddies case return to his old team. As for the topic yeah Shaq can indeed still carry a team and he's proven it but he won't be able to do that forever. IMO I think this is probabally the last season he'll be able to do that unless he continues to stay in shape and not let himself go during the off season.
I think he has a chance. He's averaged 19, 7, and about a block a game for the month of March. Clearly not prime time Shaq numbers but still he is one of the most effective centers in the league. He's also had some great games passing the ball which is essential if he is going to have to carry the load. The Heat really went on a tear their to start of the month but they've fallen off losing 3 out of their last 5. In two of those three losses Shaq did not have good games. He was playing amazing when the Heat were on that win streak. So yes, if he plays great he will carry the load and the Heat will continue winning. If he doesn't show to play the Heat are in trouble. But with Shaq's history, I'd put my money on him showing up to play.
The Heat have lost their momentum and are losing to mediocre teams now, chances are because of injuries to GP/Zo that slowed them down. This is the wiz's chance to get ahead.
