<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>?Look, I know that this is my fault,? Ainge said. ?I understand that. We were accumulating assets and hoping to turn some of those assets into a more experienced player who could really help us. We?re still trying to do that. I think we have some really good, young talent, but we have too many of those kind of players. I acknowledge that, and I?m trying to rectify that, but at the same time I?m not going to trade Gerald Green and Rajon Rondo [stats]for some 30-year-old guy just because he?s a veteran. It has to make sense for us in the long run.?</div>
Wyc said it's not Ainge's fault, but Ainge is the realist here. I'm happy he came out and said this, I really am. I also applaud him for not pulling a Billups/Johnson bullsh** trade just to get veterans. However, he has to pull the trigger on something if he wants Paul to sport that green jersey for much longer.

    Something else in this article:

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>If we had known we could get Rajon Rondo (in a trade with Phoenix for the 21st pick), we may not have done the trade for Sebastian, but I think having two good, young point guards is an asset.</div>
I wonder how that makes Bassy feel. I don't think he should have said that at all. That's just not the right thing to say about a kid on your team that YOU brought in. And yes, Danny, having two young and talented point guards is a good thing, but not when our idiot coach benches one of them (usually at the wrong times) and let our best SHOOTING GUARD run the offense.

But again, I'm very happy that Ainge said this. I'm happy he came out and said "this is my fault." It is his fault. Now fix it.

Its good for him to admit this, it is definitely something that needed to be done. This in no way is going to want to make Paul stay which is the main thing that I think this team has to be focused on right now. They just need to make him happy. The way things are going right now, I wouldnt be surprised if we started hearing talks about him wanting to demand a trade. Even though Paul isnt the type of player to do that, this many losses can do anything IMO. Its good that Danny admits this is his fault, but I dont blame him for what he has done. He has gotten alot of young talent, and in 3 years, if the C's still have all of these young guys, the celtics could be a great team...

This off-season they should trade Paul Pierce for a 1st round draft pick and maybe an expiring contract.

Nice seeing the guy at least own up to it? Hopefully he finally came to the realization and knows what he needs to do now.

As long as Pierce is here, though. Ainge even stated in this article that he is trying to cash in some of these young guys for quality veterans. He's doing this FOR Pierce, to win with Pierce. If Pierce asks for a trade, we can't trade him for veterans. We need to get picks and a quality young player.
