<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Rocky Mountain News -The Nuggets might seek a point guard in the summer in free agency and if they go after Chucky Atkins, he is certainly interested."Without a doubt, I'd love to come to Denver," said Atkins, who will be a free agent. "I've always liked George Karl as a coach. I think I can help those guys getting up and down the court and score some points. I'm a guy that can stretch the court (with his shooting)."</div>Source: http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives...sted_in_denver/Eh, I think he'd be a better fit over Blake, although it wouldn't really solve the defensive problems of the back court considering he isn't much bigger than Blake. But his shooting his much, much better than that of Blake's.Thoughts? Would you be interested in signing him this summer?
Hes not going to get you alotve steals, but he is a very good defender(as shown against Iverson at some moments last night). I hope he doesn't leave Memphis, but we will have Lowry who is probably going to be better for us anyways. He will be very good for Denver, and hes not just a shooter, he can become a scorer and passer.
I really dont think this would solve anything for this team....They just need some time to figure out their right chemistry and they will be fine. Although I expected them to do better faster, all they need is time IMO. They have the talent, and other teams have shown that even if you dont have a great defensive team, if you have a good offensive team, you can still win. Atkins is old, he isnt going to be in the league much longer, and to be honest, he isnt that good.
Chucky Atkins is averging 14 and 5...and not Mike James way...every other night he goes for 20 or has a nice assist night. Has been clutch for us. Ballerman, your underrating Aktins alot.
