Re: Is Shaun Livingston's career over? I mean, his career was barely beginning. In addition to his previous injuries, he has torn ligaments in his ACL, MCL, PCL, and his lateral miniscus. ON TOP OF ALL THAT... he suffered a dislocated patella (knee cap for the laymen), and the dislocation of his tibia-femoral.I still can't believe what I saw man. It was sssoooooooooooooo bad, jeez. Him being the player that everybody expects him to be is definitely out of the question in my mind, and I don't think he can really come back from all of that. If so, he's the next Grant Hill.Is Shaun Livingston's career over?
Re: Is Shaun Livingston's career over? I hope not but it's hard to say no. It just looked so nasty....
Re: Is Shaun Livingston's career over? He is definitely done for the season but his career is not over.

But in all seriouness, I think in the future (who knows when) he can come back and be a contributor but obviously not anytime soon.
Re: Is Shaun Livingston's career over? People on ESPN are saying it looks nasty, but its nowhere near a career ending injury, nor a career altering injury. Sure it looks bad, but its only dislocated...nothing from ive heard has been broken or torn. He'll be aight....

Re: Is Shaun Livingston's career over? Did you guys read that ESPN article about him? It was a nice story, he's kind of an odd player, but he definetley had the potential. I'm not sure about whether or not his career is over.
Re: Is Shaun Livingston's career over? Nah, he's way too young to already say his career is over. He's just gotten off to a horrible start. Time is definitely on his side, unlike Grant who was already near the end of his prime when he went out with his injuries. This will no doubt set him back, but I wouldn't rule out the possibilty of him reaching his full potential one day.
Re: Is Shaun Livingston's career over? http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2782056I feel so bad for the guy... I don't think his career is over though
Re: Is Shaun Livingston's career over? god I hope notthat guy should have been starting...just the alien was in his wayhe's got a lot of talent..hope it doesn't all come crashing down on him
Re: Is Shaun Livingston's career over? Holy sh*t. I saw the replay on that. That's the nastiest NBA injury ive ever seen. He may be able to come back next year, but I think he's going to have a F*cked up knee for his entire career. So no, I don't think he'll ever live up to his potential now...
Re: Is Shaun Livingston's career over? I just hope he doesn't try and speed up his recovery in order to help the Clippers, he should take off as much time as he needs and make sure hes at a 100%, worked well for Amare after going serious surgery.
Re: Is Shaun Livingston's career over? Ummmm yeah they're serious ligaments!!The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is one of four knee ligaments that connect the upper leg bone (femur) with the lower leg bone (tibia). The ACL stabilizes knee movement byreventing the lower leg bone from sliding forward or turning when the leg is straight. Preventing the knee from being stretched or straightened beyond its normal limits (hyperextended). Supporting the knee ligaments that keep the knee from bending sideways. <webmd.com>The medial collateral ligament (MCL) is one of four ligaments that are critical to the stability of the knee joint. A ligament is made of tough fibrous material and functions to control excessive motion by limiting joint mobility. The four major stabilizing ligaments of the knee are the anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments (ACL and PCL, respectively), and the medial and lateral collateral ligaments (MCL and LCL, respectively). The medial collateral ligament spans the distance from the end of the femur (thigh bone) to the top of the tibia (shin bone) and is on the inside of the knee joint. The medial collateral ligament resists widening of the inside of the joint, or prevents "opening-up" of the knee. A grade III injury is a complete tear of the MCL. Patients have significant pain and swelling, and often have difficulty bending the knee. Instability, or giving out, is a common finding with grade III MCL tears. A knee brace or a knee immobilizer is usually needed for comfort, and healing may take 6 weeks or longer. <about.com>The posterior cruciate ligament, or PCL, is one of four ligaments important to the stability of the knee joint. The anterior cruciate ligament, or ACL, sits just in front of the PCL. The ACL is much better known, in part because injuries to the ACL are much more common than injuries to the PCL. The PCL is the ligament that prevents the tibia (shinbone) from sliding too far backwards. Along with the ACL which keeps the tibia from sliding too far forwards, the PCL helps to maintain the tibia in position below the femur (thigh bone). These are three of the four ligaments in your knee that keep it stabalized and keep the hinge-joint motion intact. And I didn't even put anything here about his lateral miniscus, which is also serious. I'm not trying to overhype this, my heart really goes out to him.
Re: Is Shaun Livingston's career over? Some said Amare wouldn't be the same, but he is the best Center in the NBA right now.

But at least he got another chance. I hope D-Wade doesn't try to come back this year.
