The guy is DONE. There's NO WAY you can come back from basically totally decimating your knee like that. We should be hoping he'll be able to walk right again, let alone play basketball. And no I'm not calling Livingston a dumbass, I just said I felt sorry for him, why would I call him a dumbass?
Re: Is Shaun Livingston's career over? http://youtube.com/watch?v=RDrA0bWPlhU Here's a video of it, yikes. It's not career ending but it's going to keep him out for a long time. It's kind of what Daunte Culpepper did.
Re: Is Shaun Livingston's career over? He'll be out at least a year I heard. Who knows when he'll be back but he is young.

Re: Is Shaun Livingston's career over? That was brutal - feel bad for the kid. But his career isn't over. He's not going to be close to what it was. I just got surgery on my ACL and Meniscus on Tuesday, and I'm already putting pressure on it. Now obviously his injury is much bigger than mine, but if I can already put pressure on it the day after, he should be able to come back and play basketball again. He can definitely come back from this if he's determined enough to do it.

If you watch the video you can see his knee cap is just like gone from where it should be, its just nasty.and whoever is saying his career is over needs to use thier heads. 10-12 months does not equal CAREER. He'll definately play at a high level again, but this really is going to hurt his development as a player which he was showing some promise.

Could be complications soon. There's no way SL plays at all before the 08/09 season. Too bad we don't have any Clippers fans on this board...

He's probably in better shape than I was, and he's probably going to be able to recover pretty quickly because of the shape he's in. You guys shouldn't really critisize stuff like this until you know what he needs to go through. He obviously won't recover as quick as I will because all I had was ACL and Meniscus, but he should do fine with it.

He's on my side. I do think that Shaun Livingston after this really won't be anything more than a mediocre player.
Re: Is Shaun Livingston's career over? I feel bad for this kid. But I as well think he will have a chance to come back at least. But won't be a main part of the team anymore. Except a player who is jsut a filler.
Re: Is Shaun Livingston's career over? He'll come back. It'll just be really though to get back to the same level, and even tougher to get back to the level everyone expected him to reach when he was drafted.I had a major knee injury (two torn ligaments, one bruised ligament) and although surgery and recovery went great, I still wonder whether I'll ever be 100% again.
Re: Is Shaun Livingston's career over? I don't think he'll ever be the same..mentally. He's going to think once or twice before thinking about driving to the hoop.
